  • Publication number: 20240124366
Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided for a system in which liquid carbon dioxide, or a mixture of liquid and gaseous carbon dioxide, is converted to solid carbon dioxide by exiting an orifice at a sufficient pressure drop, e.g., for delivery of carbon dioxide to a concrete mixture in a mixer.

  • Publication number: 20240116813
Abstract: The invention provides compositions and methods directed to carbonation of a cement mix during mixing. The carbonation may be in a stationary mixer or a transportable mixer, such as a drum of a ready-mix truck.

  • Patent number: 11922408
Abstract: A system for provisioning credentials onto an electronic device is provided. The system may include a payment network subsystem, a service provider subsystem, a primary user device, and a secondary user device. The user may select a particular payment card to provision onto the secondary user device by providing an input at the primary user device. A broker module running on the service provider subsystem may then transfer a disabled pass to the secondary user device. Concurrently, the payment network subsystem may direct a trusted service manager module on the service provider subsystem to write credential information onto a secure element within the secondary user device. Once the secure element has been updated, the broker module may provide an activated pass to the secondary user device so that the secondary user device can be used to perform NFC-based financial transactions at a merchant terminal.

  • Patent number: 5628261
Abstract: A high temperature furnace and method for thermally decomposing solid combustible fuels into usable products to provide a source of heat to a selected area is disclosed. Solid combustible fuel, such as waste automobile tires, are introduced into a reaction vessel or combustion chamber which is defined by an outer wall. The reaction vessel has an upper portion and a lower portion with a central partition dividing the lower portion into compartments. Each compartment holds a fuel bed having a selected height wherein the sold fuel accumulates as it is being decomposed. Each compartment also has a bottom opening. Air ducts located along the outer wall of the reaction vessel and in the central partition supply pressurized air to the interior of the reaction vessel. An exhaust duct which communicates with the upper portion of the reaction vessel is supplied for venting off combustion or pyrolysis products from the reaction vessel to the selected area.

  • Patent number: 4331263
Abstract: A control unit for controlling a vibratory bowl feeder which is effective to maintain, for varying feeder loads, a constant preselected amplitude of bowl feeder vibration at a vibratory frequency which coincides with the changing mechanical resonant frequency of the feeder system. The control unit includes a sensor which detects the amplitude and frequency of feeder bowl vibration, a frequency control loop and an amplitude control loop. The frequency control loop is responsive to the detected frequency of vibration and provides an oscillating signal which coincides with the resonant frequency of the system. The amplitude control loop is responsive to the detected amplitude of vibration and includes a variable gain amplifier which amplifies the oscillating signal to provide a feeder driving signal which causes the feeder to vibrate at the system resonant frequency at a preselected amplitude.

  • Patent number: 4158395
Abstract: A damping reduction suspension system is used in conjunction with a frequency dependent mass measuring unit to increase the accuracy and speed of mass measurement. The damping reduction system comprises a relatively low frequency suspension system coupled dynamically with a relatively high frequency mass measuring unit to minimize energy loss from the oscillating measuring element.

  • Patent number: 4094589
Abstract: A viewer has a telescopic housing and includes a lens system carried by one housing part and a plurality of correlated information sources supported by another housing part and arranged serially along the optical axis of the lens system in a plurality of focal planes. At least one of the information sources comprises a transparency which has data thereon and is disposed between the lens system and another of the information sources. When the lens system is focused on the one information source the other of the information sources are out of the field of focus of the system whereby data on any one of the information sources may be viewed to the selective exclusion of data on the other of the information sources. Color filters associated with the lens system may be employed to view portions of data on any one information source to the exclusion of other data thereon.
