  • Patent number: 4127460
Abstract: A radiation-curable aqueous emulsion coating composition which cures to provide a nonadherent surface is provided by emulsifying droplets of liquid alkyl hydrogen polysiloxane in water, the water having dispersed therein a radiation-curable polyethylenically unsaturated tertiary amine, such as an amine polyacrylate, at least partially neutralized with a solubilizing acid. The aqueous emulsion preferably includes a photosensitizer rendering the composition curable with ultraviolet light.

Inventors: Joseph E. Gaske, Eugene S. Packer, George J. England
  • Patent number: 4075366
Abstract: A low gloss radiation cure is obtained by applying an aqueous emulsion of relatively viscous radiation curable resin and curing the applied film with appropriate radiation energy before the emulsion in the applied film breaks, to produce a cured film containing microscopic discontinuities.
