  • Patent number: 12007191
Abstract: A firearm is disclosed which is a handgun having a frame and a slide connected to the frame which is operable to reciprocate between a forward battery position and a rearward recoil position. The barrel is connected to the frame and to the slide and it has a forward muzzle end and a rearward chamber end that rotates between a locked position and an unlocked position during cycling of the firearm. The barrel has locking elements at its forward end including a plurality of protruding lugs configured to interface with the slide in the locked position when the slide is in the battery position to prevent axial movement of the slide with respect to the barrel. Moving the trigger forward out of its released position lowers a barrel locking component out of engagement with a slidable trunnion to allow the slide and barrel to disassemble from the frame.

  • Patent number: 11725894
Abstract: A firearm magazine includes an elongated tube defining a tube axis and having an upper end with feed lips and an opposed lower end. The tube has elongated front, rear, left and right side walls. A closure element is a bottom cap removably connected to the lower end of the tube and includes a latch movable between a retention position wherein the closure element is secured to the tube, and a released position wherein the closure element is removable from the tube. The closure element includes a spring loaded latch biased upward to lock into its retention position, and the closure element is slidably receivable onto the lower end of the tube by movement transverse to the tube axis in a removal direction. The latch is on a tube side opposite from the removal direction and configured to abut the tube to prevent removal when locked in its retention position.

  • Publication number: 20220290936
Abstract: Firearms have a lower frame including a trigger and a grip, an upper frame including a barrel and a bolt, and a magazine receptacle configured to receive a magazine and positioned between the upper and lower frames. The lower frame and upper frame may each have forward portions pivotally connected to each other to form a pivotal connection. The pivotal connection may be operable to pivot on a horizontal axis transverse to the firearm. The upper and lower frames may be movable between an open position in which the upper and lower frame are angularly separated from each other and the magazine receptacle is accessible for removal and replacement of a magazine, and a closed position in which the magazine is closely received between the upper and lower frames. The magazine receptacle may be laterally open on both sides of the firearm.

  • Patent number: 10184738
Abstract: Handguns, pistols, devices, and methods with improved slides that are both less expensive and less complex than prior art hollow slides used in handguns. The pistol can be formed from two half sections that can be attached together with fasteners, such as screws. The half sections can include upper barrel half covers preformed with generally vertical grip halve parts. A novel L shaped slide assembly can be located between the attached upper barrel half covers.

  • Patent number: 9534861
Abstract: A novel firearm is lightweight, compact, and the method of manufacture is easy. A single or dual tubular magazine positioned below the barrel of a firearm includes the novel use of an inverted U-shaped stamped receiver cover with a cavity for housing a loading and ejection port. The present invention advances the art of firearm manufacture by disclosing a tubular magazine and stamped sheet metal receiver cover that encloses the major parts of a firearm. The firearm is simple to manufacture, lightweight, approximately 25 to approximately 27 inches in length, and affords an ammunition capacity that is at least twice the capacity of a comparable firearm, such as the RemingtonĀ® 870 shotgun.

  • Patent number: 9200857
Abstract: Methods, devices, apparatus and systems for a downward ejecting rifle configured with a trigger and grip mounted forward of a magazine. The rifle includes a receiver with a bolt assembly slidably located therein, a rifle barrel connected with the receiver with a cartridge chamber, the barrel arranged to mate with a bolt mechanism located rearward of the trigger and grip, and a downward ejection port rearward of the magazine to allow a spent casing to eject downward from the rifle. The downward ejection port includes an oversized hollow hammer pivotally connected with a trigger assembly such that after firing the bolt mechanism travels rearward extracting the spent casing over and behind the magazine where it is ejected through the oversize hollow hammer. Downward ejection mechanisms can include a hollow ejection chute reward of the magazine below the hollow hammer with ejected casings passing downward through the ejection chute.
