  • Patent number: 6454352
Abstract: A car seat pad for use in child safety seats is described. The seat pad is formed of isotonic foam or encapsulated gel material to insulate an infant or small child from the hard surface of the safety seat. The pad includes a back portion and a hingedly joined seat portion. The back portion includes a number of slots designed to accommodate the seat belt webbing of the child safety seat. The seat portion includes a notch to provide space for the buckle of the seat belt. A removable washable cover is provided for the seat pad. The cover includes reinforced openings aligned with the slots in the back portion of the pad. In versions of the seat pad designed for larger children, a lumbar support pas is attached to the lower end of the back portion and an additional seat pad is attached to the upper end of the seat portion. The side edges of the back and seat portions are tapered to eliminate additional padding material from accumulating in the safety seat when the seat pad is fold to fit within the seat.

  • Patent number: 6364381
Abstract: A queue clip for mounting to a control gate includes a holder having a nose extending from one wall of the holder. A tongue is cantilevered off the nose and may be angled to either side of the nose. The tongue preferably supports a chain linking one crowd control gate to another. The tongue is inclined in an upward fashion to support downward chain forces. The tongue may also be angled to a particular side of the nose to allow the chain to be slid off the tongue such that a person may pass between the previously linked control gates.

  • Patent number: 6099316
Abstract: A simulated weapon creates a muzzle flash and smoke effect. The simulated weapon has an elongated tube portion having a closed end and an open end. A high-intensity light source enters the elongated tube near the closed end. A communication passageway in the elongated tube conducts a pulse of theatrical haze through the weapon. A target illuminator is mounted on the elongated tube. A pressurized pulse of theatrical haze is delivered through a barrel of the weapon. The high-intensity light source is flashed as the pressurized pulse of theatrical haze exits the barrel.
