  • Publication number: 20230079452
Abstract: A system and method for an asynchronous media fabric service. The system includes at least one host configured with the asynchronous media fabric service. The asynchronous media fabric service is configured to: create and delete shared memory pools that are used to allow processes miming on a single host direct access to grain data; send and receive grains from other hosts; and serve as an API endpoint for asynchronous media fabric function processes to create, delete and obtain references to streams.

  • Patent number: 8806833
Abstract: A structural reinforcing panel system for reinforcing a structure against lateral or shear and uplift loads. The system includes a structural reinforcing panel which is installed between the studs in a wall of the structure. The panel is connected to the foundation of the structure and the sill or header. Two or more panels may be connected together at a corner, within a wall, ceiling or floor. The roof rafters of the structure may be attached to a top plate bracket mounted to the sill plate, which may also be connected to one or more structural reinforcing panels, provides uplift load support for the structure. Movable reinforcing panels may be used to barricade openings in the building structure such as windows. For structures built on piers, a pier mount bracket provides a linkage to one or more structural reinforcing panels.

  • Patent number: 6219973
Abstract: A structure stabilizing system that includes a length of cabling and a number of joist and rafter reinforcing cable guides. Each of the joist and rafter reinforcing cable guides includes an L-shaped joist securing plate assembly, a rafter securing plate, and a cable guide tube assembly. The structure stabilizing method includes the steps of a) providing a number of joist and rafter reinforcing cable guides as described above; b) attaching one each of the joist and rafter reinforcing cable guides to a number of sets of ceiling joists and rafters along each side of the building; c) threading a length of cabling through each of the cable guide tubes of each of the attached joist and rafter reinforcing cable guides; and d) anchoring the ends of the cable to the foundation of the structure to be stabilized.
