    Abstract: A can carrier composition comprising at least one of each of the following components wherein all parts are by weight based on 100 parts by weight of component (i):(i) a high pressure polyethylene having a density in the range of about 0.918 to about 0.930 gram per cubic centimeter;(ii) a linear polyethylene having a density of less than about 0.925 gram per cubic centimeter in an amount of about 2 to about 35 parts;(iii) polyethylene wax in an amount of about 0.5 to about 5 parts;(iv) a mineral filler coated with a metal salt of a fatty acid in an amount of about 0.05 to about 0.50 parts;(v) a secondary amide in an amount of about 0.02 to about 0.15 part;(vi) an antioxidant in an amount of about 0.02 to about 0.10 part; and(vii) an organic phosphorus compound in an amount of about 0.005 to about 0.05 part.

    Abstract: The disclosure of this application is directed to a composition suitable for use in the fabrication of spiral wound hose comprising a mixture of a substantially linear ethylene polymer having a density of about 0.915 to about 0.935 and a melt index of about 0.1 to about 10.0, produced under low pressures, and an alkylene-alkyl acrylate copolymer containing at least about 19 percent by weight combined alkyl acrylate and having a melt index of about 0.5 to about 6.0.
