  • Publication number: 20240113625
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes transmitting multi-phase pulse power from power sourcing equipment to a powered device in a data center, wherein the multi-phase pulse power comprises multiple phases of power delivered in a sequence of pulses defined by alternating low direct current voltage states and high direct current voltage states, and synchronizing the pulses at the power sourcing equipment with the pulses at the powered device.

  • Publication number: 20240113903
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes transmitting pulse power on two wire pairs, the pulse power comprising a plurality of high voltage pulses with the high voltage pulses on the wire pairs offset between the wire pairs to provide continuous power, performing low voltage fault detection on each of the wire pairs between the high voltage pulses, and transmitting data on at least one of the wire pairs during transmittal of the high voltage pulses. Data transmittal is suspended during the low voltage fault detection.

  • Publication number: 20240094233
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods, devices and systems for associating consumable data with an assay consumable used in a biological assay. Provided are assay systems and associated consumables, wherein the assay system adjusts one or more steps of an assay protocol based on consumable data specific for that consumable. Various types of consumable data are described, as well as methods of using such data in the conduct of an assay by an assay system. The present invention also relates to consumables (e.g., kits and reagent containers), software, data deployable bundles, computer-readable media, loading carts, instruments, systems, and methods, for performing automated biological assays.

  • Patent number: 4300853
Abstract: Apparatus for use in combination with a road working machine for mixing a liquid plasticizing agent within a layer of scarified road surface materal is disclosed. The apparatus includes an array of discs for lifting and turning the scarified road surface material and a nozzle supported in a position for spraying the liquid plasticizing agent upon the road surface material as it is lifted and turned by the discs. In a preferred embodiment, the discs are secured to a rotatable shaft which is mounted for angular movement through a plane lying transverse to the direction of travel so that the disc assembly may follow longitudinal undulations in the road surface.

  • Patent number: 4164139
Abstract: Water penetration of bituminous pavement is measured by a conduit comprising a cylindrical tube having a flat outwardly extending lower flange and a closed top having a circular center opening into which is engaged an upwardly extending graduated cylinder open at both ends having a diameter significantly smaller than the cylindrical tube. The flat lower rim is adapted to hold a sealant on its lower surface and a weight having a central opening fitted around the cylindrical tube on its upper surface. The weight causes the sealant to seal the apparatus to the pavement in a fluid tight relationship and when the apparatus is filled with water the degree of water penetration into the pavement can be determined by the change of water volume in the graduated cylinder.

  • Patent number: RE32130
Abstract: A console for keyboard editing and correcting of text, such as newspaper copy, displayed on the screen of a cathode ray tube. The encoded text copy is recirculated in a refresh memory having a large capacity dynamic shift register and a small capacity random access memory where various editing and correcting changes may be made. The text displayed on the cathode ray screen may be "rolled up" or "rolled down" one line at a time as the editing proceeds. Any selected block of the text may be transmitted from the output of the recirculating memory to an output device, such as a punch, and deleted from the refresh memory at the same time.
