  • Patent number: 9320933
Abstract: Devices such as exercise hoops are detailed. The hoops may include multiple, serially-connected sections designed to receive internal weights and configured so as to accept both differing numbers and masses of weights as desired. At least some sections, furthermore, may comprise multiple detachable pieces, with complementary pieces exposing one or more weight-receiving compartments when detached.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 20, 2011
Date of Patent: April 26, 2016
    Assignee: Fitness EM, LLC
    Inventor: George M. Kessler
  • Publication number: 20150165273
Abstract: Exercise and play apparatus in the form of hop balls are described. The balls beneficially may omit conventional handles, hence avoiding transfer of balance-maintenance responsibility to users' hands and arms. Instead, users' thighs engage a generally-spherical upper portion of the hop balls for balance, leading to higher core muscle engagement and greater caloric loss than does play on existing balls.

  • Publication number: 20130084769
Abstract: Detailed are play and exercise devices providing dynamic distance between a housing and a collar or loop positioned about a limb (typically ankle) of a user. Elastic cord may be used to connect the housing and loop and to allow their relative distances to change in use. The cord also may itself form the loop, avoiding any need for a separate such component.

  • Publication number: 20130040789
Abstract: Detailed are exercise devices including soft-sided kettlebells. The devices may be weighted variably yet retain all functionality of existing rigid-sided kettlebells. Nesting of internal components may reduce, if not prevent, relative movement of the components when a kettlebell is in use.

  • Publication number: 20080099383
Abstract: A skimmer assembly has an upper housing and a lower housing. The lower housing contains a removable filter cartridge and the upper housing contains a floating cylindrical weir and a floating rotatable member atop the floating weir. The walls of the upper housing are curved and the water entrance includes a vertical slot which allows water to enter in a column, hit the curved wall and cause a whirlpool which causes the rotatable member to spin. The preferred embodiment includes a disposable annular filter disc removably attached to the rotatable member.

  • Patent number: 7172466
Abstract: The present invention is related to the modular plug housing insert device that makes electrical contact to a telecommunication plug to complete an interface media connection. The positional relationship of the conductors in the modular plug housing insert device are arranged to from capacitance, such that the Near-end Crosstalk (NEXT) and Far End Crosstalk (FEXT) is reduced without compromising impedance.
