Abstract: An automated order entry system is provided for entering orders for artwork framing. The system can include a computer and a handheld computer. The computer includes a store or franchise database containing pricing information for artwork framing. The handheld computer includes a scanner and a portable database synchronized with the store database. Furthermore, information scanned from a frame sample corresponds with information contained in the portable database.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for remote monitoring and control of a target group. An armband located on each user may be enabled upon entry to a secured area by passing thru an electronic gateway. The armband transmits user physiological data to a linked central control console where a security monitor or Marshal has the ability to remotely activate delivery of an immobilizing dosage of a, for example, anesthetic from the armband(s) of a selected individual or group of users. To prevent tampering, the armband may be configured to deliver an immobilizing dosage if it detects. attempts to remove, isolate or otherwise disable the armband. Upon exiting from the secured area, the device may be disabled by again passing through an electronic gateway.

Abstract: The improved golf practice device disclosed herein is designed to permit golfers to practice their golf swings in a relative restricted area and to give them an indication, the power of their swings, by means of an impact measuring device attached and secured to the upper end of a rigid, hollow stake driven into the ground. A shock cord is attached at one end at the bottom of the stake and the other end is attached by appropriate means to the golf ball mounted on the top of the stake. The measuring indicator comprises a flat bar member having a central longitudinally extending slot in which is disposed a helical spring member having one of its ends secured to a plunger slideably moveable in said slot and the other end of said spring member being secured to the flat member.

Abstract: A tonneau cover for recreational vehicles of pliable weatherproof material which simultaneously covers the rear cab portion of the passenger compartment, and the load bed, as desired. Utilizing already provided mounting apparatus, the cover seals from moisture and the elements of weather, the cab and load bed of the vehicle while providing means of rearward vision for the user of the vehicle.
