  • Publication number: 20180226085
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure generally include a method and apparatus for receiving and separating unwanted external noise from an audible input received from an audible source using an audible signal processing system that contains a plurality of audible signal sensing devices that are arranged and configured to detect an audible signal that is received from any position or angle within three dimensional space. The audible signal processing system is configured to analyze the received audible signals using a first signal processing technique that is able to separate unwanted low frequency range noise from the received audible signal and a second signal processing technique that is able to separate unwanted higher frequency range noise from the received audible signal. The audible signal processing system can then combine the signals processed by the first and second signal processing techniques to form a desired audible signal that has a high signal-to-noise ratio throughout the full speech range.

  • Publication number: 20120283034
Abstract: A putter may have a symmetrical head with respect to a shaft of the putter. The head may have a flat surface and a peripheral surface which extends upward to a top surface of the head. The flat surface may be sufficiently large so that the putter may be positioned in the upright position. The golf putter may be utilized by a left or right handed individual and employed in a straight arrow stance, conventional stance and a side saddle stance.

  • Patent number: 7057482
Abstract: An electromagnetic filter assembly includes complimentary first and second blocks (1) and (2) defining two conjoined sections (10), (11) of an electromagnetic waveguide duct. A shim-like electromagnetic filter element (3) is held between the blocks and contains a series of holes (14) defining bridges (15) which traverse the waveguide duct to form poles of an electromagnetic filter. The filter element includes integral tuning projections (20) which extend into waveguide duct between the bridges. By adjusting the position of the filter element (3) between the blocks (1), (2) it is possible to vary the extent to which the tuning projections (20) project into the waveguide duct. The arrangement thus facilitates the repeated, continuous adjustment and variation of the electrical characteristics of devices such as filters, diplexers and multiplexers.

  • Publication number: 20050203146
Abstract: The present invention provides novel amino-benzazoles and analogues thereof, which are selective inhibitors of the human P2Y1 receptor. The invention also provides for various pharmaceutical compositions of the same and methods for treating diseases responsive to modulation of P2Y1 receptor activity.

  • Publication number: 20030011449
Abstract: A window assembly for use with electromagnetic waveguides includes a window 3 and a housing 4. The window 3 has impermeable layers 33 and 34 which are bridged by a reticulum 35 of ceramic material with internal spaces which form a continuous flow path for coolant. The window is received in an opening in the housing 4 which is surrounded by an inwardly-directed flange having a peripheral recess opposed to the window 3 to improve the microwave performance of the window.

  • Patent number: 5894352
Abstract: The preferred embodiment of the invention measures the temperature increase of a light-transmitting optical component to determine the optical absorption of the optical component. Accurately determining the optical absorption of light-transmitting optical components advantageously allows for the accurate and efficient selection of light-transmitting optical components for use in an optical system. In one embodiment, an optical absorption tester holds multiple optical components and, for each optical component, the tester includes a temperature sensor placed in contact with the optical component and a reference temperature sensor placed in the vicinity of the optical component.

  • Patent number: 5771258
Abstract: An excimer laser chamber capable of arc-free operation at repetitive pulse rates of 1 kHz or greater is provided. The chamber balances the electrode design criteria required to produce a well-defined discharge channel with the flow design criteria required to achieve high clearing rates at comparatively high blower efficiency. A ceramic insulator located on either side of the cathode/pre-ionizer assembly enhances the flow of gas through the discharge region by reducing the turbulence in the electrode region. A series of specifically designed flow vanes further enhance the gas flow. The gas exiting the blower fan is guided into the discharge region with one vane. The anode support bar is extended downwardly, thus improving the efficiency of the tangential blower and also minimizing the amount of gas bypassing the discharge region. A pair of vanes downstream from the discharge region smoothly direct the heated gas towards the heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 4097761
Abstract: Photocathode having a transparent conductive undercoating to provide a radial voltage distribution across the cathode surface. The conductive undercoating is in the form of radially spaced rings made of chromium deposited on a glass substrate. Over the substrate and the conducting undercoating is provided a resistive layer comprising chromium having a thickness of about 50 Angstroms. Over the resistive chromium layer is deposited a photoemissive layer of antimony, potassium, sodium and cesium. The radially spaced conductive rings are connected to sources of different voltage to produce a desired voltage distribution across the resistive chromium layer.
