  • Patent number: 11970161
Abstract: A motion planner of an autonomous vehicle's computer system uses reconfigurable collision detection architecture hardware to perform a collision assessment on a planning graph for the vehicle prior to execution of a motion plan. For edges on the planning graph, which represent transitions in states of the vehicle, the system sets a probability of collision with a dynamic object in the environment based at least in part on the collision assessment. Depending on whether the goal of the vehicle is to avoid or collide with a particular dynamic object in the environment, the system then performs an optimization to identify a path in the resulting planning graph with either a relatively high or relatively low potential of a collision with the particular dynamic object. The system then causes the actuator system of the vehicle to implement a motion plan with the applicable identified path based at least in part on the optimization.

  • Patent number: 11964393
Abstract: A robot control system determines which of a number of discretizations to use to generate discretized representations of robot swept volumes and to generate discretized representations of the environment in which the robot will operate. Obstacle voxels (or boxes) representing the environment and obstacles therein are streamed into the processor and stored in on-chip environment memory. At runtime, the robot control system may dynamically switch between multiple motion planning graphs stored in off-chip or on-chip memory. The dynamically switching between multiple motion planning graphs at runtime enables the robot to perform motion planning at a relatively low cost as characteristics of the robot itself change. Various aspects of such robot motion planning are implemented in particular systems and methods that facilitate motion planning of the robot for various environments and tasks.

  • Publication number: 20240117073
Abstract: The present invention relates to specific binding members, particularly antibodies and fragments thereof, which bind to amplified epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and to the de2-7 EGFR truncation of the EGFR. In particular, the epitope recognized by the specific binding members, particularly antibodies and fragments thereof, is enhanced or evident upon aberrant post-translational modification. These specific binding members are useful in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The binding members of the present invention may also be used in therapy in combination with chemotherapeutics or anti-cancer agents and/or with other antibodies or fragments thereof.

  • Publication number: 20240075002
Abstract: A creatine composition comprising a base component, a dianion component, and a creatine component. In some exemplary embodiment, the base component and dianion component can at least be partially reacted before being added to the creating component. On a dry weight basis, the base component can comprise between about 7-20% of the composition by weight, the dianion component can comprise between about 35-50% of the composition by weight, and the creatine component can comprise between about 30-60% of the composition by weight. In embodiments where the base component and dianion component are first reacted to form a base dianion component, the base dianion component can comprise between about 40-65% of the composition by weight. The creatine component can comprise between about 35-60% of the composition by weight with the remainder of the composition being composed of deionized water (i.e., between about 0-10% of the composition by weight).

  • Patent number: 11381061
Abstract: A system for servicing cable includes a field-end assembly and a live-end assembly, each mounted on a support structure having at least one drive mechanism operable to cause relative linear movement between the field-end assembly and the live-end assembly. A drilling-and-shorting assembly can create a short circuit in a field-end of the cable, and a continuity tester can test the integrity of the short-circuit. The field end of the cable can then be ejected from the system, and an end-cap-cradle assembly can position an end cap on a live end of an electrical cable and test its installation.

  • Publication number: 20220095612
Abstract: An agricultural spray solution may be produced by admixing chelated metal diaspartate salts reacted with ethanolamine that can also be mixed with a carboxylated polymer salt and a pesticide or other agricultural chemical containing components capable of precipitating with the unchelated metal in the admixture. The composition may be produced by reacting L-aspartic acid with metal oxides at a molar ratio of 2:1, subsequently reacting the finished diaspartate salt with ethanolamine can increase the solubility and depress the freezing point, and then taking that metal diaspartate chelate and admixing it with a carboxylated polymer salt, which can then be admixed with a pesticide. The diaspartate chelation of the metal and carboxylated polymer salt can protect the metal from adverse interactions with a pesticide or other chemical additive.

  • Patent number: 10407915
Abstract: A locking member for a gate apparatus comprises a body mountable to a gripping array of a support, said body having a mating form mutually engageable with the gripping array, whereby axial motion of said body relative to said gripping array is inhibited. A member extends away from said body, said member defining a cross-tie mount for receiving a mating end of a cross-tie. The cross-tie mount has a cross-tie end retainer which is movable between a first position securing said cross-tie in said cross-tie mount, and a second position permitting release of said cross-tie from said cross-tie mount, whereby the cross-tie may be moved to function as a gate.

  • Publication number: 20190016973
Abstract: A process for creating higher quality and lower quality base oils from used lubricating oils and crude oils, wherein the higher quality base oils may be either Group III or Group II and the lower quality base oils may be either Group II or Group I. Vacuum gas oils produced from used lubricating oils and from crude oils are processed via two or more process steps, including solvent extraction, solvent or catalytic or iso dewaxing, and hydrotreating. Such process enables efficient conversion and operation of refineries formerly capable only of making Group I base oils, even as their ability to make heavier base oils, waxes, and bright stocks is preserved, substantially to the same extent as such products had been made prior to undertaking the conversion.

  • Patent number: 9946555
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for creating and managing a virtual operating environment on a physical machine connected to a distributed network, the virtual operating environment is virtualized by the physical machine. The invention may categorize the virtual operating environment using a tiered data structure, where each tier of the tiered data structure defines an attribute for categorizing the virtual operating environment. The invention generates a graphical representation of the tiered data structure for display via a user computing device that enables a user to communicate requests for causing the virtual operating environment to perform a function and communicates commands to the physical machine based on receiving such requests. The invention may additionally update the graphical representation after the virtual operating environment has executed the function.

  • Patent number: 9862894
Abstract: A method wherein either crude oil or a used oil lubricant is processed to produce an intermediate lube distillate which is then hydrotreated to produce a hydrotreated base oil which is then processed by solvent treatment to produce a higher viscosity index base oil (such as Groups II+ and/or III) and a lower viscosity index base oil (such as Groups I and/or II), in each case as compared with the viscosity index of the hydrotreated base oil. In the solvent treatment, one or more solvents are utilized to selectively separate higher viscosity index components from lower viscosity index components found in the hydrotreated base oil, and after the separations have occurred, the solvent is preferably recovered for re-use in the process.
