  • Patent number: 7784679
Abstract: A point of sale advertising device that includes a display mechanism with a first screen and a second screen and the screens are facing in substantially different directions. The device also includes a display controller in communication with the screens, the display controller adapted to receive a price message and a timing instruction, to store the price message and timing instruction, and to transfer the price message to the first screen and second screen for display on the first screen and the second screen for a time period indicated by the stored timing instruction. The device also includes a price control switch in communication with the display controller, the price control switch being adapted to be actuated manually, and when actuated, prevents the price message from being displayed on the first screen and the second screen.

  • Patent number: 7156353
Abstract: An apparatus and method for displaying dispenser containers at point of sale locations. The device includes a drip tray or base for holding the product container and a back member that extends upwardly from the base. An adjustable loop is then looped around the product container, attached to the device and placed in tension to hold the product container firmly in the base and bias the product toward the back member. After placing the product container in the device, the device can then be used to display the product container for sampling or other purposes at a point of purchase location, including mounting the device to a store shelf.

  • Patent number: 5428254
Abstract: A battery pack has a plurality of female contacts for supplying electricity to different electrical devices. The contacts are recessed in cavities in the pack which open outwardly to two adjacent exterior surfaces of the pack, such as the bottom surface and a front or rear wall surface. Each female contact comprises a parallel and opposing pair of contact arms having a curved contact surface for gripping various types and sizes of male contacts from an electrical device. This combination of the female contacts and their accessibility to a mating male contact from two adjacent, external surfaces of the pack enables a single pack to be useful for a variety of different electrical devices.

  • Patent number: 5207349
Abstract: A stand alone dispenser including an integral electrical power supply is provided for reliably dispensing individual sheets, such as coupons, from a stack. The dispenser comprises a clutch for preventing excessive pressure between the stack and a coupon remover to minimize current drain on the power supply. A stack advancer enables advancement of the stack, as necessary, whenever a coupon is dispensed through engagement by the clutch to the coupon remover. A control circuit includes delay and shutdown functions to limit excessive coupon removal, and a dispenser level indicator to discourage tampering or theft. The dispenser is mountable to store shelving or other point of purchase displays.

  • Patent number: 4282560
Abstract: A light distributor is described for use in distributing light from a source in a generally uniform manner across an edge, to for example, illuminate an array of light sensitive elements. The light distributor can be made of a transparent plastic material and is formed with a light guide and a lamp supporting segment. The light guide has a pair of planar faces bounded by sides of a curvature, which bears a particular relationship with a light source region in the lamp supporting segment so as to distribute light therefrom across the edge. A cost effective efficient light distributor is described, particularly for use in activating photocells arranged in an array in a shaft encoder.
