  • Patent number: 11801922
Abstract: A gyroscopic stabiliser for stabilising motion of an object includes a support for attaching to the object, a gimbal rotatably supported by the support to be rotatable around a first axis, a flywheel rotatably supported by the gimbal to be rotatable around a second axis relative to the gimbal, orthogonal to the first axis, and a rotary damper. The rotary damper has a chamber containing a damping fluid a vane that is rotatable within the chamber and that is coupled to the gimbal and a flow passage allowing flow of the damping fluid from the chamber on one side of the vane to the chamber on the other side of the vane when the vane is rotated.

  • Patent number: 11613332
Abstract: A gyroscopic stabiliser for stabilising motion of an object, the gyroscopic stabiliser comprising: a support for attaching to the object whose motion is to be stabilised; a gimbal rotatably supported by the support to be rotatable around a first axis relative to the support; and a flywheel rotatably supported by the gimbal to be rotatable around a second axis relative to the gimbal, the second axis being orthogonal to the first axis; wherein the gimbal is rotatably supported by the support at least partly within a maximum width of the gimbal along the first axis; and a maximum width of the gyroscopic stabiliser along the first axis is equal to, or substantially equal to, the maximum width of the gimbal along the first axis.

  • Publication number: 20190381262
Abstract: A closure (100) for a container (6) is disclosed. The closure comprises a fixture (11) for attaching the closure to the container, a medicament port (14) for receiving a medicament dispenser (2) and discharging a medicament from the dispenser within an internal volume of the container, an air inlet port (5) for drawing air into the container, a mouthpiece (3) and a valve (4). The valve has an open position which permits air to be drawn from the internal volume of the container into the mouthpiece when a user inhales, and a closed position which seals the mouthpiece from the container and permits air exhaled by the user into the mouthpiece to be vented to atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 4742336
Abstract: A portable intrusion detection, monitoring and alarm system is housed in a portable carrying case in the configuration of a briefcase with handle for convenient portability and inconspicuous placement at a desired location near a space to be monitored. Intrusion detectors are removed from the carrying case and placed in the space to be monitored. The intrusion detectors may include infrared motion sensors and radio transmitters for transmitting detection signals to a radio receiver in the carrying case. An electronic controller receives the detection signals from the radio receiver and delivers actuating data signals to a digital communicator and digital dialer with a telephone line output. The digital communicator captures a telephone line with dialing signals and sends further coded signals corresponding to different monitored spaces and intrusion detectors from which detection signals are received.
