Abstract: A method is provided for loan generation and management including generating a loan contract specifying payment terms including a payment amount and a due date for a payment in the payment amount. The method includes defining a linked account containing non-cash assets to be used for loan repayment. The method then determines that payment is due under the loan contract and defines a threshold required total asset value for the linked account. Upon confirming that an actual total asset value for the linked account is greater than the threshold required asset value, the method initiates payment of the payment amount under the loan contract. Such a payment may result in a negative cash balance associated with the linked account, and the method then initiates a sale of non-cash assets in the linked account to eliminate the negative cash balance. Also provided is a system for implementing the method.

Abstract: A system for aiding the placing of a bet on participants of a race is disclosed. It has a display element for displaying information by the system related to the bet placed by a punter. Further an input device is disclosed with which the punter interacts with the system and provides instructions to the system on how to place the bet. A computing device capable of executing software is also provided. The system under control of the software provides the punter with an opportunity to create a preference profile of the participant. The system thereupon accesses future race events and identifies which participants take part in the future race events. The preference profile of the punter is compared with machine generated profiles of the participants. If the machine generated profile is the same or closely resembles the preference profile, the system notifies the punter of the particulars of the future race event and of the participant as a betting recommendation.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for delivering content to an internet capable receiver. The receiver is adapted to receive the content via a medium supported by a medium provider. The method includes the steps of appointing at least one content provider for supplying the content to the receiver and appointing at least one advertiser for supplying advertisements to the receiver. The method includes the steps of securing payments from the at least one advertiser for the advertisements supplied to the receiver; and disbursing at least a portion of the secured payments to the at least one content provider and to the medium provider.
