  • Publication number: 20240045398
Abstract: The present disclosure provides techniques for determining a manufacturing plan. An example method includes obtaining an initial object definition describing an initial state of a manufacturing plan and obtaining a final object definition describing a target shape of an object to be formed through the manufacturing plan. The method also includes generating a tree comprising a plurality of nodes and edges. Each edge represents a selected manufacturing operation. The nodes include a parent node representing the initial object definition, intermediate child nodes representing an intermediate state of the object, and leaf nodes representing the target shape. The selected manufacturing operation applied at each edge may be a subtractive manufacturing (SM) operation or an additive manufacturing (AM) operation. The method also includes identifying a lowest cost manufacturing plan comprising a sequence of manufacturing operation connecting the parent node and one of the leaf nodes.

  • Patent number: 11105424
Abstract: An anti-rotation device is for a circumferential seal disposed within a housing and having an annular body and one or more openings with facing first and second sides. The device includes at least one and preferably a plurality of lugs each having a first axial end coupled with the housing, preferably through an annular carrier disposed within the housing, an opposing second axial end, inner and outer radial ends each extending axially between the first and second axial ends, and opposing first and second retainer surfaces extending axially between the first and second axial ends and radially between the inner and outer radial ends. At least one retainer surface is convexly curved and each lug is disposable within a seal opening such that the convexly curved retainer surface is contactable with one of the seal opening sides to prevent angular displacement of the seal with respect to the housing.

  • Patent number: 10489565
Abstract: A user device operated by a user receives a compromise alert indicating a potentially compromised use of first access data associated with a user. The compromise alert enables the user to input a response to the compromise alert, where the response can indicate that the first access data is compromised along with a request to issue new access data for the user. The response is sent to a server computer, which then initiates a process to disable use of the first access data and generate the new access data. The new access data is transmitted to the user device. The user can utilize the new access data to request access to a resource.

  • Publication number: 20190060766
Abstract: Systems and methods of creating highly personalized personas are described in this application. Personas of the inventive subject matter are capable of learning new behaviors according to the users that control the personas. When a persona learns a new behavior, that behavior can then be accessed by other personas, creating a shared, group knowledge. Personas can also continue to exist in a persistent environment (e.g., a game word or otherwise) even after a user has ceased to control the user (e.g., by logging off or walking away from the controls). In some embodiments, personas can be used as personal digital assistants that are capable of learning user preferences over time based on both the actions and activities of that user and also based on the actions and activities of other users with their own personas.

  • Publication number: 20170352095
Abstract: Described herein is a system for optimizing transactions conducted using a portfolio of payment devices by providing strategic content. In particular, content are assigned to payment devices in a portfolio of payment devices based on a frequency of a transaction type and a frequency with which a payment device is used. In some embodiments, a content may be generated for a payment device upon determining that a frequency of use associated with the payment device is below a usage frequency threshold. In some embodiments, a number of transactions associated with a portfolio of payment devices may be maximized by assigning content associated with transaction types that are frequently conducted to payment devices that are infrequently used as well as assigning content associated with transaction types that are infrequently conducted to payment devices that are frequently used.

  • Publication number: 20170307085
Abstract: A circumferential seal assembly for sealing about a rotatable shaft includes two or more generally arcuate bodies coupleable together to form a generally annular seal disposeable about a shaft outer surface. Each arcuate body has opposing female and male circumferential ends. Each female end includes a recess defined between a radially-inner arm and a radially-outer arm each extending generally circumferentially from a remainder of the arcuate body. Each male end includes a projection extending circumferentially from the remainder of the arcuate body and is sized to be disposeable within the recess of an adjacent arcuate body to couple the arcuate body with the adjacent arcuate body. Further, the female end inner arm of each arcuate body is disposed radially between the shaft outer surface and at least a portion of the male end projection of the adjacent arcuate body when the arcuate body is coupled with the adjacent arcuate body.
