    Abstract: A weight vest (10) comprising a front portion (14) and a back portion (50). The front portion (14) is attachable to the back portion (50) in a shoulder region by a primary fastening system (24/66). The amount of surface area of the primary fastening system (24/66) may be varied to adjust to the torso length of the wearer. A secondary fastening system (26/68) may also used to attach the front portion (14) to the back portion (50). A plurality of weights (36) having a cylindrical shape may be placed within sub-pockets (34) of a superior pocket (16a) and an inferior pocket (16b) on the front portion (14) and back portion (50) of the weight vest (10). A belt (52) comprising a superior lateral strap (54a) and an inferior lateral strap (54b) is coupled to the back portion superior pocket and back portion inferior pocket, respectively. The belt (52) is adapted to hold the weight vest (10) closely to the wearer's torso.
