  • Patent number: 3990167
Abstract: A device is disclosed for applying indicia to swimming pool components of the type having laterally spaced grill members. The device includes a channel-shaped cap member having spaced opposed resilient side flanges connected by an intermediate flat web. The aforesaid flanges have inwardly protruding longitudinal ribs arranged to snap into grooves in the side walls of the grill members. The cap members may be cut to appropriate lengths and applied to the grill members in appropriate patterns to thereby develop desired indicia, for example depth markings, lane markings, etc.

  • Patent number: 3972077
Abstract: A rope anchor is disclosed for use on a metal wall at the periphery of a swimming pool. The anchor comprises an assembly of a one-piece molded anchor body, an anchor link and a pin. The anchor body has a front flange surrounding an opening which leads to a recess in a rearwardly protruding back section. The back section is adapted to be received in a hole in the aforesaid metal wall, and the recess is suitably dimensioned to receive and contain the anchor link. The pin is adapted for removable insertion through both the back section and the anchor link in the recess, with the ends of the thus inserted pin cooperating with the front flange to grip the metal wall therebetween. The anchor link is movable between an operative position extending beyond the face of the front flange and into the pool, and an inoperative position behind the same face, with an inclined supporting ledge being provided in the recess for urging the link into the inoperative position when the rope anchor is not in use.

  • Patent number: 3945061
Abstract: For use with a drain gutter and water supply assembly of the type which is adapted to be positioned along the periphery of a swimming pool, with an inner gutter wall over which contaminated water is allowed to spill continuously into the gutter from the surface of the pool, and with a filtered water supply manifold contained in the gutter, an adjustable inlet fitting assembly for directing filtered water from the supply manifold through the inner gutter wall into the pool. The fitting assembly includes a flanged male member adapted to extend through an opening in the gutter wall, a flanged female member received on the male member and adapted to cooperate therewith in gripping the gutter wall therebetween, and a locking member in threaded engagement with the male member for retaining the male and female members in the aforesaid cooperative relationship. The fitting assembly further includes a flexible pipe or the like connected at opposite ends respectively to the supply manifold and the male member.
