  • Patent number: 11911487
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and materials useful delivering liquids, including liquids comprising nucleic acid molecules into cells. In particular, the present invention provides methods for delivering saline solution, exogenous compositions, and isolated vectors to kidney cells, using the renal vein as a guide and under hydrodynamic pressure. The delivery methods and materials herein are useful to research, prognose, ameliorate symptoms of kidney injury, and treat kidney pathologies.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 3, 2013
Date of Patent: February 27, 2024
Assignees: Indiana University Research and Technology Corporation, United States Government as Represented by the Department of Veterans Affairs
Inventors: Robert Bacallao, Simon Atkinson, George Rhodes, Peter Corridon

  • Publication number: 20070063664
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring phase angle difference between two conductors uses a hot stick, a field unit, and reference unit. Voltage is sensed at a conductor, and the voltage is passed through an automatic gain control which adjusts the voltage input to a voltage detector to a level which prevents saturation of the voltage detector. Non-saturation of the voltage detector enables detection of all of the data in a detected sine wave. Pulse width modulation and pulse width modulation RF transmission are used to provide for data transmission from a hot stick to a field unit.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 19, 2006
    Publication date: March 22, 2007
    Applicant: AVISTAR, INC.
Inventors: George Rhodes, Gary Kessler, Albert Migliori
  • Publication number: 20070027640
Abstract: A method for detecting loss of SF6 gas from electrical utility apparatus determines a molar ratio of gas in a container at an initial time and of gas in the container at a subsequent time. Measurement of temperature is determined by averaging ambient temperature and temperature of the surface of the container.

Inventors: George Rhodes, Albert Migliori, Tristan Fin, Steven Willard
  • Patent number: 6398830
Abstract: A filter tape 10 for sealing the ends of sheeting. The tape 10 comprising a central portion 16 of an air permeable material 12, which portion 16 is locatable over the end of the sheeting, and longitudinal side portions 14 with adhesive thereon for adhering to the sides of the sheet.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 1, 2000
Date of Patent: June 4, 2002
    Assignee: Pal Adhesive Products Limited
Inventors: Harry George Rhodes, Michael David Thompson
  • Patent number: 5992234
Abstract: Methods for the prediction of the frequency of high order resonant ultrasound spectroscopy (RUS) diagnostic modes are used to limit the band width of diagnostic testing at high order mode frequencies. Testing of parts at low order frequency modes is used to calculate part dimensions, and then these calculated part dimensions are used to predict high order diagnostic mode frequencies. Lower order mode frequencies are used to predict high order diagnostic mode frequencies.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 3, 1998
Date of Patent: November 30, 1999
    Assignee: Quasar International
Inventors: George Rhodes, James J. Schwarz, David E. Thomas, Ming Lei
