    Abstract: The character displaying capacity of a monitor is enhanced by operating the pixel clock at a frequency at which beam narrowing occurs so that adjacent pixels are substantially distinct from each other. The operating clock frequency exceeds the bandwidth of the video channel and is at a frequency higher than the clock frequency at which pixel smearing occurs.
