    Abstract: A method of preventing a marine vessel from colliding with a piling is disclosed. An apparatus is attached to a piling to prevent a marine vessel from colliding with the piling. The apparatus may be comprised of a body portion and one or more straps, which may be used to attach the body portion to the piling. The body portion may be comprised of a substantially flat portion and a protruding portion, which protrudes from the substantially flat portion. The body portion may be comprised of one or more slots through which one or more straps can be inserted to attach the body portion to a piling.
