  • Publication number: 20090108098
Abstract: The riser and spray head of a common lawn sprinkler system are adapted for sprinkling in a plane at an angle to the axis of the riser. A ball and socket assembly is connected between the riser and the spray head with the geometries of the ball and the socket truncated in a related manner to avoid interrupting water flow when an off-axis water delivery is achieved.

  • Patent number: 4767053
Abstract: A toy stunt set which can be used to form a loop and ramps for use during play with toy vehicles. Two tower members with engaging grooves are mounted on top of a base. A frame with flexible sheet pieces is positioned between the tower members. A rod at the end of a flexible member can be inserted into the grooves in order to form a loop and ramps. Toy vehicles may be rolled onto the loop and ramps and through the frame and flexible pieces. The flexible member can be used by itself to form individual ramps. A tumble member may be connected near the end of the flexible member so that the toy vehicles will flip after rolling onto the loop or ramps.

  • Patent number: 4732569
Abstract: A toy vehicle launcher used to propel a toy vehicle forward by pulling a flexible rack so that cam portions attached to the rack and launcher operably engage each other bending a flexible support downward in order to release the vehicle. A slider attaches to the front of the toy vehicle and pulls it forward after it is released. The toy vehicle may be easily mounted on top of the launcher by attaching it to horizontal and vertical supports. While in this position, the rear wheels of the vehicle rest on top of and engage wheels rotatably mounted on the launcher. Plates attached to the flexible support help to guide the rack as it engages a gear attached to the wheels mounted on the launcher. The rack rotates these wheels as it is pulled, resulting in the wheels of the toy vehicle being rotated as it is launched forward.

  • Patent number: 4535705
Abstract: Many different so-called "wall systems" as are often used in offices and other locations employ perforate, vertically extending, spaced, parallel standards in supporting one or more objects through the use of hooks extending through perforations in the standards. Any such system can be improved by utilizing sloping surfaces on an object held by the standards and a wedging member associated with each sloped surface. When an object with such a surface is in place on a standard so that the hooks employed extend through openings in the standard the wedging member associated with the surface is moved so as to be wedged between the sloped surface with which it is associated and the standard so as to move the object generally outwardly from the standard in order to pull the hooks firmly in contact with the interior of the standard. This results in the object being held firmly relative to the standard employed.

  • Patent number: 4091918
Abstract: A container having a hollow base and a lid pivotally mounted on the base can be constructed so as to utilize a carrier pivotally mounted on the lid adjacent to the rear of the lid. With this structure when the lid is moved from a closed to an open position the rear of the carrier is elevated. The front of the carrier is pivotally connected to the front of the base through the use of a link which accommodates movement of the carrier toward the rear of the container as the lid is opened. In a preferred utilization of the invention the carrier is shaped so as to carry a "load" consisting of a stack of index cards in such a manner that the index cards are capable of being moved between "storage" positions in which they extend upwardly and rearwardly of the carrier and "open" positions in which they extend upwardly toward the front of the carrier.
