  • Patent number: 11038731
Abstract: Disclosed are crest factor reduction (CFR) implementations that include a method comprising getting communication system data representative of characteristics of a communication system comprising one or more radio transmission bands, and optimizing, based at least in part on the input communication system data, a plurality of updateable parameters that determine respective pulse shapes for one or more pulses as well as other certain algorithm execution parameters for use in the CFR system. Optimizing the plurality of updateable parameters includes iteratively updating the plurality of updateable parameters based on iterative evaluation of a plurality of performance parameters. The method further includes providing the optimized plurality of updateable parameters to configure the crest reduction system for use in processing signals for radio transmission using a pulse subtraction approach applied to one or more signals communicated through the communication system.

  • Publication number: 20070241761
Abstract: A method for determining attenuation of electromagnetic waves impacting an electromagnetic shield. A reference amplitude is provided. A signal exhibiting a first frequency is converted to a converted signal exhibiting a second frequency higher than the first frequency. Electromagnetic waves corresponding to the converted signal are transmitted from a first antenna toward a second antenna with the electromagnetic shield positioned between them. Attenuated remnants of the electromagnetic waves received by the second antenna are converted to a corresponding signal exhibiting a third frequency that is lower than the second frequency. The amplitude of the corresponding signal is compared to the reference amplitude.

  • Publication number: 20070144223
Abstract: An improved bicycle rack for public and private use having a hanger housing frame (10), having a hinged door extending from the upper portion of the housing, connected with a hinge assembly (13). Extending from the lower frame end is a seats section, (26), (27), (28), (29), allowing the placing a bicycle frame and one or two bicycle tires. A flange (18) protrudes through a flange cutout (20) when the door (17) is closed. The flange (18) has a primary shackle cutout (19) providing for the locking of the chamber opening (16), no longer requiring the use of u-shape, tether locks, (although they may be used) a simple key or combination lock is all that is required to lock the frame and released tires within an approximately 9?×9? chamber (25). The hanger housing mounting surface (24) is intended to be welded to parking meters, prior art and the like.

  • Patent number: 5048142
Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning electromagnetic tape wound onto dual reels of a tape cartridge is disclosed. A housing is provided having a pair of spindles rotatably supported thereon for receiving respective reels of a tape cartridge. A drive mechanism is drivingly connected to one of the spindles for causing the tape to be transferred from one reel to the other. A first absorbent pad is supported on the housing for wiping engagement with one side of the tape and a cleaner post carrier is supported on the housing for movement between a cleaning position adjacent the first pad and a loading position spaced from the first pad. The cleaner post has opposite first and second cleaner surfaces and is removably and reversably mounted on the carrier such that one surface faces the first pad. A cleaning fluid reservoir is mounted on the housing and in communication with at least the first pad.
