  • Patent number: 11949277
Abstract: Controlling charging of connected devices is provided. Presence of a target connected device is detected using a wireless transceiver of a vehicle. Settings indicative of how to charge the target connected device via a power connector of the vehicle are received a user interface presented to an HMI of the vehicle. Data packets from the target connected device indicative of a current state of charge of the target connected device are received using the wireless transceiver. The target connected device is charged from the power connector in accordance with the settings and the current state of charge.

  • Publication number: 20240105152
Abstract: A system to detect an infringing audio composition is disclosed. The system is configured to receive an audio file from a user; prepare track samples based on the audio file to compare with audio files stored with a digital rights repository; determine an original audio recording from the digital rights repository; prepare an acapella version of the original audio recording and/or an instrumental version based on the original audio recording; process, by iteratively varying a pitch, a tempo and/or a key of, the versions to create a processed iteration of each version; automatically compare the processed iterations of the audio files stored with a digital rights repository; determine a match between the processed iterations and the audio files stored with the digital rights repository; and determine a digital rights action to take based on the match between the processed iteration of each of the versions.

  • Publication number: 20080028832
Abstract: An apparatus for the collection of airborne microorganisms and gaseous effluvia is disclosed. The apparatus includes an air intake mechanism capable of drawing an air sample and an air intake chamber operatively coupled to the air intake mechanism so that the air sample passes therethrough. A reservoir containing a liquid is provided disposed relative to the air intake chamber such that the air sample passes through the reservoir and is percolated through the liquid so that airborne microorganisms or gaseous effluvia within the air sample becomes suspended in the liquid.

  • Publication number: 20060259559
Abstract: In an environment such as the Microsoft Exchange server environment, the present invention uses an event notification mechanism to identify and store incoming and outgoing electronic mail in secondary storage. With respect to electronic mail, there is an event notification at the detection of either an internal or external message. This notification is provided with a unique identification of the message, and then the message is sent to secondary storage. The journaling feature that is commonly available in systems such as Microsoft Exchange is not used as a source from which to copy messages for secondary storage. By not using journaling, there is a significant savings of processing resources. After storage in secondary storage, any copy of the email that may be residing in local storage at the exchange group can be deleted according to administration-defined policies. The storage format in secondary storage is that of RFC 2822 in an embodiment of the invention.

  • Publication number: 20050246386
Abstract: A method including reading a policy file for defining criteria to be used for migrating a file from a first storage to a second storage, scanning the first storage, determining whether there is adequate storage space in the second storage, analyzing the first storage based on the policy file to identify a file that is to be migrated, copying the file to the secondary storage, and writing a reparse point corresponding to the copied file in the first storage.

  • Publication number: 20050136507
Abstract: An apparatus for the collection of airborne microorganisms and gaseous substances includes an air intake mechanism capable of drawing in an air sample. The air sample is thereupon percolated through a reservoir containing a liquid means as the air is passed through an air intake chamber and through the reservoir. As the air sample is passed therethrough, airborne pathogens including microorganisms or gaseous substances disposed within the air sample will become suspended within the liquid means. The air sample is thereupon exhausted through the apparatus through an exhaust chamber. A sampling port adjacent to the reservoir allows for the extraction of a sample of liquid means so the sample may be tested to determine the presence of any airborne pathogens including microorganisms or gaseous substances by means of its DNA or genetic fingerprint or by gas mass spectrometry.

  • Patent number: 5598867
Abstract: A vacuum generating device, such as a wet/dry vacuum, is attached to a faucet by an attachment member. The attachment member includes a faucet connector, for connecting to the faucet, and a vacuum connector, for connecting to the vacuum generating device. The faucet connector and vacuum connector are fluidly connected by a conduit. The method for draining plumbing lines includes the step of shutting off the external supply of water to the plumbing lines. The vacuum generating device is then connected to a first faucet, and the valve to the first faucet is opened. The vacuum generating device is then activated and the valves to the remaining faucets are opened in order to create a pressure differential in the plumbing lines. The pressure differential causes water in the lines to flow into the vacuum generating device.

  • Patent number: 4117285
Abstract: Disclosed is a snap action circuit breaker with a compact one piece steel frame in a two part, telescoping molded circuit breaker case. The compact construction is combined with a symmetrical toggle actuator to provide a pleasing appearance suitable for mounting at readily accessible and visible locations on the front of an instrument panel. A variety of handle constructions are usable with the same basic mechanism. By providing a snap actuated contact construction with substantial overcurrent trip delay the device combines the best features of modern manual switches and circuit breakers so that it is in effect a manual switch with nuisance free over-current trip protection.
