  • Patent number: 10498683
Abstract: A processor may determine a message type of a message of a message set and extract strings from the message based upon the message type, each string associated with a field type within the message type. The processor may write one of the strings to a string table, when not already stored in the string table, and add an offset position of the string in the string table to a column list for the field type associated with the string, when not already stored in the column list. There may be different column lists for different field types. The processor may populate an entry of a data table corresponding to the message and to the field type associated with the string with an index of the offset position within the column list, and store a compressed version of the message set including the string table, column lists, and data table.

  • Patent number: 8638672
Abstract: Systems and techniques for improved error detection in data communication. A sending station encodes unencoded data to create an encoded message and passes the encoded data to transmission elements for transmission to a destination receiver. At the same time, error detection is performed using copies of the unencoded data and the encoded message. The encoded message is decoded using a decoding procedure identical to that to be used by the destination receiver. The copy of the unencoded data is compared to the decoded copy of the encoded message, and if the copy of the unencoded data does not match the decoded copy, the presence of an error is identified and error recovery procedures are performed.

  • Patent number: 4947425
Abstract: A digital signal processor is provided with the facility to range and converge on each of a plurality of echoes occurring at respective locations along a communications line. Specifically, the digital signal processor is arranged to adaptively process samples of a signal that has been transmitted to the communications line correlated with samples of a signal that have been received from the communications line. In the processing of the samples, the digital signal processor separates and measures the magnitude of each echo that it converges on, beginning with a so-called near-end echo. In addition, the digital signal processor calculates the propagation delay of each echo that it converges on using the number of sampling intervals that have been processed in order to position the processor on the dispersion of that echo.
