    Abstract: An accessory for use with an existing roof gutter support, such as the conventional ferrule and spike, operates as a jack for applying lifting forces to the existing gutter support for lifting and holding it in a position whereby the gutter is maintained perpendicular to the facia board. Gutters which have sagged may thus be restored to their original and level position. The accessory is provided by a generally triangular plate, having flanges along the base and a side thereof, which forms a preferrably acute angle with the base. The flange along the side is disposed in engagement with the existing gutter support and pivots about the apex of the base and side to jack up and lift the existing support or maintain it in level position. The lifting forces are applied when the base of the plate is tilted with the aid of an adjustable jack screw which extends there through its flange into the facia board and draws the base toward the facia board.

    Abstract: A machine for straightening shafts which may be extremely crooked has a pair of bending members which may take the form of eccentric rollers mounted on parallel shafts having a common vertical center line, and which engage the shaft to be straightened as it enters between the bending members and deform the shaft in opposite directions, while rolling the shaft, thereby straightening it. Auxiliary rollers are movable into and out of the region between the bending members so as to locate the shaft to be bent between the bending members while they are at their greatest separation. These auxiliary rollers are capable of bending the shaft to be straightened so as to fit between the bending members. The auxiliary rollers remain in their inward position and locate the shaft to be straightened, and prevent it from escaping from between the bending members, until the bending members engage the shaft to be straightened.

    Abstract: A robot arm, especially useful as a parts catcher, uses an extensible arm which may be in the form of a telescopic slide. The arm and a fluid operated actuator, such as a pneumatic cylinder, are pivotally mounted on a base at one end thereof. A wrist is pivotally mounted on the upper end of the arm. The actuator is connected to the wrist and pivots the arm, extends and retracts the arm and pivots the wrist. A receptacle is carried by the wrist and serves to catch parts when the arm is pivoted and extended to a parts catching position. Stops on the arm limit its pivotal and extensile movement. Stops are also provided to limit the pivotal movement of the wrist. These stops and a compression spring which biases the wrist provide static limits or forces against which the actuator works.
