  • Publication number: 20240230602
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for ion chromatography systems and electrolytic suppressors. By varying the operating frequency of an electrolytic suppressor, the generation of bubbles and noise can be minimized. This leads to more accurate results in e.g., a conductivity detector downstream of an electrolytic suppressor within an ion chromatography system. In certain embodiments, it has been found that frequencies of around 700-750 Hz, 100-150 Hz and 925-975 Hz have achieved the best results.

  • Publication number: 20230177839
Abstract: In various examples, methods and systems are provided for determining, using a machine learning model, one or more of the following operational domain conditions related to an autonomous and/or semi-autonomous machine: amount of camera blindness, blindness classification, illumination level, path surface condition, visibility distance, scene type classification, and distance to a scene. Once one or more of these conditions are determined, an operational level of the machine may be determined, and the machine may be controlled according to the operational level.

  • Publication number: 20230110027
Abstract: In various examples, systems and methods are disclosed that use one or more machine learning models (MLMs) - such as deep neural networks (DNNs) - to compute outputs indicative of an estimated visibility distance corresponding to sensor data generated using one or more sensors of an autonomous or semi-autonomous machine. Once the visibility distance is computed using the one or more MLMs, a determination of the usability of the sensor data for one or more downstream tasks of the machine may be evaluated. As such, where an estimated visibility distance is low, the corresponding sensor data may be relied upon for less tasks than when the visibility distance is high.

  • Publication number: 20160105698
Abstract: Several embodiments include an Internet-based video delivery system that retains channel browsing capabilities. The video delivery system can include a backend server system. The backend server system can receive input feeds from channel programming of content providers. The backend server system can encode the input feeds into video streams deliverable over the Internet. The backend server system can transmit a video stream to multiple user devices in substantially real-time. The backend server system can also record the video stream in a media storage protected by an authentication engine. The backend server system can then generate a channel-side control interface, available to an authorized account associated with the content providers, to enable remote management of live distribution of the video streams and/or on-demand distribution of the recorded video streams.

  • Patent number: 8761443
Abstract: An automatic record detection device and method for stop arm violation event, comprising: a plurality of image fetching units, to fetch external video signals; at least an analog-to-digital converter, to process said external video signal into digital data; a processor unit, to detect dynamic images of said digital data based on a set sensitivity value, when said set sensitivity value of said dynamic image of a violating vehicle fulfills an image block number, it determines said dynamic image to trigger a violation event, then generates said digital data based on said external video signal. As such, a user can search said dynamic images of said digital data by examining said triggered violation event, to find out license plate number of a violating vehicle, and sends it to an agency concerned for prosecution, thus saving enormous time and manpower in viewing and searching through said digital data.

  • Publication number: 20070139079
Abstract: An improvement reducing or eliminating noise between drivers connected in common on a single chip. A DC power source (VDD1) providing a common signal to multiple PCML drivers and inductance introduced between a common DC power source and each of the multiple PCML drivers tied in common to the DC power source. The introduced inductance between VDD1 and each of the multiple PCML drivers reduces or eliminates AC noise from flowing between drivers and allows DC signaling to pass to all drivers commonly connected to VDD1.

  • Publication number: 20070139078
Abstract: The improved PCML communications driver corrects current loss and reduced voltage swing when driving an LVDS receiver load by reducing the value of the Rt1 resistors. By changing the value of the two Rt1 resistors from Rt1 to Rt1/2 (or lower), the full bias current can be restored and voltage swing is substantially improved. By making Rt1 a programmable resistor so Rt=Rt1/2 for DC bias calculation, Q2 bias current is increased back to IB, instead of IB/2.

  • Publication number: 20060139123
Abstract: A resistive capacitor structure adding series resistance to a decoupling capacitor for improved decoupling of power and ground plane noise signals. The resistive capacitor couples a resistor in series with the capacitor where the resistor provides high resistance without substantially increasing inductance to thereby dampen anti-resonance noise typically generated when multiple decoupling capacitors are used for filtering a broader range of possible noise signal frequencies. In one aspect, the resistor comprises magnetic material or other low conductivity material, such as iron, having a small skin depth characteristic to thereby reduce the inductance while still providing high resistivity required to dampen anti-resonance noise. The resistive element may be discrete with respect to the decoupling capacitor or may be integral therewith as one of the plates of the decoupling capacitor. The resistive capacitor plates may be integral with and form a part of the power and ground planes of a circuit board.

  • Patent number: 5772493
Abstract: The invention is directed toward a lapping apparatus and method for accurately obtaining the height of a magnetoresistive (MR) element of a magnetic head during a lapping process. The apparatus includes a source for inducing a magnetic excitation field, and a current source for applying a sense current to a prepatterned photolithographically formed MR element. A sensor monitors the resistance of the MR element in response to variations in the magnetic excitation field, and controls the lapping process in response to the monitored resistance of the MR element. In one embodiment, the MR element includes a GMR formed of a stack of parallel MR layers and operates either in a CPP (Current-Perpendicular-to-the Plane) mode or in a CIP (Current-In-the Plane) mode. In a particular embodiment, the magnetic excitation field is generated by a conductor formed on the magnetic head.
