  • Patent number: 9054446
Abstract: An electrical connector for forming a mechanical and electrical coupling with an electrical conductor includes a tubular housing, at least one jaw member, a sealant containment membrane, and a sealant. The tubular housing has a connector axis. The housing defines a conductor receiving opening and an interior cavity each configured to receive the conductor along the connector axis. The at least one jaw member is configured to clamp the conductor within the interior cavity. The sealant containment membrane is disposed in the interior cavity and defines a sealant chamber. The sealant is contained in the sealant chamber in the interior cavity to environmentally protect an electrical contact engagement between the conductor and the electrical connector when the conductor is clamped in the interior cavity by the at least one jaw member.

  • Patent number: 7520786
Abstract: A connector is attachable to an extending transformer stud. The connector includes an elongate central body having a longitudinal bore opening at one end for insertable accommodation of the transformer stud. An elongate conductor accommodating body extends along the central body in side-by-side relationship thereto. • Patent number: 7320626
Abstract: A connector for attachment to an extending transformer stud. The connector includes an elongate central body having a central aperture and an opening at one end for insertable accommodation of the transformer stud. The central aperture accepts a single or more than one size stud without increasing the size and cost needed for two separate mounting holes. The connector according to the present invention accepts the pitch of at least two different size threads and with the typical setscrew locking arrangement, maintains thread engagement on one side of the stud, thus securing the stud. The connector according to the present invention further provides a connector threadform having a reduced threadform angle than the stud threadform to provide greater conductivity and reduced electrical resistance between the stud and connector at lower set screw torque settings.

  • Patent number: 7173187
Abstract: A ground connector for providing quick and secure connection between a plurality of electrical conductors and a ground bus bar. The connector has a generally U-Shaped body of deformable conductive material with a pair of outwardly directed shoulders and a pair of legs at opposite ends of the body, including an open ended slot for receiving a bus bar to establish an electrical crimp connection. Each leg includes teeth extending into the slot for engagement with the bus bar. The lower end of the slot has a pair of outwardly angled cut outs to allow the legs of the body to deform for a secure crimp connection to the bus bar. The body further includes a pair of apertures spaced at apart locations opposite the legs, respectively, for receiving conductors therein. Each of the apertures has access openings extending through the lower surface of the body to provide an area of relief upon deformation of the body around the conductors.
