  • Patent number: 5602364
Abstract: A cable duct has a plurality of end-to-end connectable sections, with each section being formed of two interengaging panel members. In combination, the panel members form the side walls, cover and base of each section. Each panel member includes a side wall, cover portion and base portion which are hinged together and when the panels are folded at the hinges, each panel member forms a side wall and a portion of the cover and a portion of the base. The cover portion and base portions overlap with the extent of overlapping determining the space between the side walls and the width of a section. The panel members are adjustably secured together along the base so as to provide connectable sections and thus a cable duct of varying width.

  • Patent number: 5211575
Abstract: A wire connector for simultaneously connecting a plurality of insulated conductors, without stripping or twisting the conductors, and which conductors may be of the same or a different wire gauge. There is a housing which has a plurality of openings for the insertion of insulated conductors. A plurality of wire guides are positioned within the housing and extend transverse to insulated conductors positioned within the housing for connection. Each wire guide has openings in alignment with the housing openings, with the openings in each wire guide being of the same size, but with the openings in successive wire guides decreasing in size with the wire guide with the smallest openings being furthest from the housing openings. The wire guides function as a positive stop, limiting the insertion of the insulated conductors in accordance with the size of the conductors.

  • Patent number: 4659169
Abstract: A terminal block assembly configured to prevent inadvertent contact with captivated electrical terminals while providing access to the terminals. The terminal block is formed from complementary insulating parts which collectively define permanently enclosed sections in which the terminals are disposed.

  • Patent number: 4609246
Abstract: A terminal block assembly configured to prevent inadvertent contact with terminals in sections of the block defined by pairs of barriers. Hinged covers are integrally molded with the barriers to enable closing of open sides of respective sections.

  • Patent number: 4461523
Abstract: A protective lampholder for a bayonet base lamp includes an insulating cup interposed between the base of the lamp and contacts provided in the lampholder for supplying power to the lamp. The cup covers the contacts when the lamp is removed, but exposes them when the lamp is inserted and rotated to an operating position.

  • Patent number: 4345110
Abstract: A screw on electrical connector, commonly called a "pigtail," of a type which is generally made up of a tubular insulating cap closed at one end and open at the other end and a tapered helically wound resilient wire coil or spring nested and anchored in the cap, which is constructed and arranged to be screwed down on the stripped ends of two or more wires, and having one or more longitudinally extending levers, each of which is outwardly pivotally connected at one end thereof to the cap at or near the open end thereof. The levers are "L" shaped, each having an axially extending inwardly directed foot at one end thereof, and these feet are axially slidably connected to the cap at the closed end thereof. The cap may contain one or more inwardly directed recesses or channels, each keyed to a respective lever, so shaped and so disposed as to receive its respective lever. The levers may be outwardly pivotally connected to the cap by a resilient plastic means.

  • Patent number: 4198109
Abstract: A lampholder for a medium bi-pin fluorescent lamp has a combination slot permitting either "straight-in" or "turn-lock" insertion. The lampholder contacts have a pin-contacting section supported for reliable resilient gripping of the lamp pins so that the lamps will not drop out accidently, while a planar contact mounting section and use of only one major fold reduce contact cost.

  • Patent number: 4180305
Abstract: A sectional terminal block assembly has identical interlocking sections held together by the electrical elements. Each section has a projecting portion, and a recess portion shaped to receive the projecting portion of an adjoining section, the projecting and recess portions having interlocking shapes to prevent transverse motion or twist. Each contact element has an arm locked in aligned transverse slots in the projecting and recess portions to prevent relative motion longitudinally. A simple plastic cover snaps over the top of barriers between adjacent contact elements, and is pivotal upward from either side to allow access to the contacts.
