Abstract: An agricultural sprinkler, irrigation system, having wheel-mounted, sprinkler-carrying, pipe sections coupled together end-to-end with a centrally located mover unit to form a sidewise movable, elongate, water supply pipeline rotatable about its longitudinal axis is powered by drive means mounted on the mover unit and controllable from an end of the pipeline by mechanism which includes means for transmitting rectilinear movement of a rotating member as rectilinear movement of a non-rotating member and an assembly of switches controlled by such movement-transmitting means and, in turn, controlling operation of the drive means.
