Abstract: An insulated cover for attic openings is provided which is adapted for pivotal mounting to the portion of the building surrounding the attic opening. The insulated cover includes cover structure for positioning in spanning relationship across the opening, a pivotal mount for enabling the cover to pivot from a spanning position enclosing the opening to an access-permitting position, and a magnetic coupler including a plurality of magnetic pairs for releasably holding the cover structure in position. The cover structure includes a recess for receiving a pullcord of the like, and a receiver adapted to couple with a rod for controlled pivoting of the cover structure and release of the magnetic connection between the magnetic pairs.

Abstract: A cover apparatus (10) is provided which is easily and quickly installed, is simple to use, and is cost effective for selective closing of an attic opening (14) and for providing a thermal and dust barrier. The cover apparatus (10) preferably includes structure (12), adapted for placement over an opening (14) defined by peripheral wall or ceiling surfaces (16), and a plurality of snap fasteners (18a, 18b, 18c, 18d) for detachably coupling the structure (12) to the surfaces (16). The structure (12) includes a panel (20) presenting an inboard face (22), continuous, circumscribing sidewalls (24) extending from the inboard face (22) of panel (20), and a continuous, circumscribing flange (32) extending transversely and outwardly from the outer margin (28) of the sidewalls (24). The flange (32) includes an outermost lip (36) configured for firmly engaging the surfaces (16) when the structure (12) is coupled to the surfaces (16).

Abstract: An arm wrestling machine particularly adapted for team play includes a series of lever and handle assemblies linked together in pivotal alignment. The arm wrestling machine includes two or more shafts pivotally mounted on a horizontal, supporting surface, each shaft carrying mated lever and handle assemblies. The contestants on each side of the table compete as a team by grasping the lever and handle assemblies and attempting to force the lever and handle assembly held by the opponents downwardly.

Abstract: An arm wrestling device operable to allow contestants to wrestle using either arm is provided, and is particularly useful in preventing one contestant from gaining a mechanical advantage over the other contestant irregardless of forearm length. An adjustable arm support pad is provided which is vertically shiftable above the support surface to allow a short-armed person to wrestle a long-armed person with each person enjoying the same initial advantage. Preferably, the arm wrestling device hereof includes a pair of elongated levers each secured to an elongated cylindrical shaft, with the shafts being rotatably mounted in generally parallel relationship to each other. The shafts are interconnected by a shiftable gearing and linkage mechanism whereby one contestant can wrestle using his right arm and the other contestant can wrestle using his left arm. That is, the device can be operated such that the levers will pivot in the same direction or alternatively, pivot in opposite directions.
