  • Patent number: 5397590
Abstract: A method for producing caviar-like compositions by mixing and blending dried papaya seeds with an edible oil, a fish flavoring, a thickener and seasoning.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 5146815
Abstract: A folding tool comprises a chassis in the form of a generally U-shaped metal band having a base portion and a pair of substantially parallel spaced-apart leg portions, an axle joined to the leg portions adjacent their free ends and transversely spanning the space between them, and a multiplicity of different elongated tools pivotally received on the axle and individually pivotable selectively about the axle between a storage position in which they are received between the leg portions of the chassis and a deployed position in which they extend away from the chassis. A handle having a top wall, a pair of side walls and one end wall receives the chassis and is joined to it, the handle having a bottom opening between the leg portions of the chassis and an end opening between the free ends of the leg portions through which the tools are movable between their storage and deployed positions. The external surfaces of the top and side walls of the handle are contoured to facilitate gripping.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 12, 1991
Date of Patent: September 15, 1992
    Assignee: Cannondale Corporation
    Inventor: George W. Scott, III
  • Patent number: 4800089
Abstract: A packet containing a measured amount of coffee solids within a housing which acts as filter is described. The unit allows more efficient loading of high output coffee machines and facilitates cleanup. An optical feature is the provision of timed release flavoring.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 14, 1988
Date of Patent: January 24, 1989

  • Patent number: 4252586
Abstract: The leg portions of a continuous molded coupling element are bonded together to reinforce the attachment of connecting threads embedded in the leg portions, and a longitudinal cord is laid in grooves formed in heels of the leg portions to improve the stability of the coupling elements.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 11, 1979
Date of Patent: February 24, 1981
    Assignee: Textron, Inc.

  • Patent number: 4140157
Abstract: Coupling elements molded on connecting threads have projections or fins extending in a direction from the connecting threads toward heels of the elements; the projections are engaged within weft or filler thread loops on the inner edges of woven tapes supporting the coupling elements by the loops extending around the connecting threads. The projections inhibit twisting of the coupling elements.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 17, 1976
Date of Patent: February 20, 1979
    Assignee: Textron Inc.
    Inventor: George W. Scott
  • Patent number: 4126158
Abstract: In a woven slide fastener stringer, a meander coupling element has a V-shaped cross-sectional configuration with a cord inserted between legs thereof to maintain the V-configuration. Additionally, gaps are formed in the weaving of a slide fastener stringer by intermittently cutting a continuous coupling element and momentarily discontinuing the feeding of the continuous coupling element.
