  • Patent number: 4631756
Abstract: A method of forming and attaching sleeves to a garment, particularly an isolation gown is disclosed. • Patent number: 4523335
Abstract: A surgical gown is disclosed in which the main body of the gown is fan folded around transversely extending fold lines. The sleeves of the gown are inserted between the lowermost fold or bottom fold in the gown and the next adjacent fold. The donning of the gown forces the lowermost fold away from the remainder of the gown eliminating any problem of blocking of the gown.

  • Patent number: 4134398
Abstract: An improved surgical drape comprising a main sheet of flexible drapable material having secured thereto in hinge-like fashion a retainer member comprising an elongated strip of generally flexible material to which tubing, electrical wires and the like may be attached and thereby retained in desired position on the drape. The flexible material comprising the retainer member is preferably selected from the group consisting of woven fabrics, nonwoven fabrics, polymeric films, and a liquid absorbent material laminated to a polymeric film. The drape may also include a reinforcing panel and, in a preferred embodiment, the reinforcing panel and the retainer member are made from a single piece of material. Methods for making such drapes are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4027665
Abstract: A surgical drape particularly suitable for cardiovascular surgery comprising a main sheet, preferably T-shaped in configuration, of flexible drapable material and at least two fenestrations covered by closure members which carry a pressure sensitive adhesive on their lower surfaces. The drape also includes improved means for securing thin, flexible elements such as suction tubing and electrical wires to the upper surface of the drape. The drape is folded longitudinally and transversely into a compact unit which may be packaged and thereafter sterilized in its packaged condition. The folded drape may be easily and quickly unfolded and applied to the patient in an aseptic manner.
