  • Patent number: 9913203
Abstract: A presence service can be provided by an access point 101 serving a small cell 100 by rejecting a request for registration from a user equipment 103 after acquiring its IMSI and sending the IMSI to a presence database 105. The user equipment determines if the cell is a presence cell by comparing the cell's location area code (LAC) with LACs stored in a list and looking for a match. It the cell is a presence cell then the user equipment, rather than placing the LAC in a forbidden list, re-tries registration again but only after a pre-set time period of 5-10 minutes has elapsed. This has the advantage that a presence service can be notified of subscribers who linger in a particular area or return to that area at regular intervals.

  • Patent number: 9823108
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel management system for a vehicle. The fuel management system includes a fill-up sensor located at an inlet of a fuel tank of the vehicle, for determining the volume of fuel flowing into the fuel tank, a fuel supply sensor located in a fuel line between the fuel tank and an engine of the vehicle, for determining the volume of fuel flowing to the engine of the vehicle and a return line sensor located in the fuel return line of the vehicle, for determining the volume of fuel returning to the fuel tank. The system further includes a controller in communication with the fill-up sensor, fuel supply sensor and return line sensor, for collecting data from the sensors, calculating whether there is a fuel deviation between the amount of fuel entering the fuel tank and consumed by the vehicle, and generating fuel deviation events.

  • Publication number: 20070020581
Abstract: Apparatus and system for easily removing a dental crown from an abutment attached to an implant inserted to the jawbone of a patient without disturbing the implant. The apparatus includes an elongated handle, an intermediate member and crown-lifting member. The intermediate member is inserted into a passageway formed in the distal end of the elongated handle. The intermediate member extends substantially downward and perpendicular aligned with the distal end of the elongated handle. The opposite, distal end of the intermediate member is connected to the proximal end of the crown-lifting member. Formed on the crown-lifting member is a slotted head that fits into a full slot opening formed on the lingual sides of the crown and abutment. During use, the elongated handle is inserted into the patient's mouth with the intermediate member extending downward and aligned on the lingual side of the jawbone. The crown-lifting member is perpendicularly aligned and extends laterally into the full slot opening.
