Abstract: System and method for operating a multi-view display system. An embodiment method includes receiving an image frame comprising a first portion and a second portion; displaying a first image on a display panel during a first display period, wherein the first image includes the first portion of the image frame, and wherein the second portion of the image frame is masked in the first image; and after displaying the first image, displaying a second image on the display panel during a second display period. The first image includes the second portion of the image frame, and the first portion of the image frame is masked in the second image. The first portion and the second portion of the image frame are displayed in different areas of the display panel.
