  • Patent number: 3935494
Abstract: A gaseous display device with memory is disclosed which requires only a single dielectric substrate with layers of orthogonal conductors laid thereon, which layers are separated by a dielectric layer. The substrate and layers thereon are enclosed in a gaseous environment with conductors brought through an envelope to facilitate the application of a.c. signals. Dielectric barriers are conveniently established on the substrate to control the shape of the individual discharges and to prevent crosstalk.
