  • Publication number: 20150121845
Abstract: A method for producing an exhaust-gas aftertreatment device (2) inserts a monolith (8) in a housing (4), assembled from a circumferentially enclosed jacket (5) and two end funnels. The monolith (8) is axially inserted into the jacket (5) with a circumferentially enclosing support mat (9). The funnels (6) are connected to the jacket (5) via an axial connecting section (10) shaped complementary to the cross-section of the jacket (5), such that each connecting section (10) and an axial end section (25) of the support mat (9) axially overlap. The jacket (5), including the connecting sections (10) of the funnels (6) from a starting cross-section (13) to an end cross-section (15). This produces a predetermined radial preload in the support mat (9) in a support area (16) extending from the one connecting section (10) to the other connecting section (10) to retain the monolith (8) in the jacket (5).

Abstract: An arrangement (1) of an electroacoustic actuator (2) on a vehicle structure (3) of a motor vehicle, has a housing (4), in which at least one loudspeaker (7) is arranged, which separates a front volume (8) from a rear volume (9) in the housing (4). The actuator (2) has a sound emission pipe (5), which projects outwards from the housing (4) and which is fluidically coupled with the front volume (8). A reduced introduction of noise into the vehicle arises when the actuator (2) is held on the vehicle structure (3) with a plurality of holding devices (19), which are arranged on the housing (4) in a circumferential direction (20) of the housing (4) spaced apart from one another. Each holding device (19) is designed as springy in a holding direction (21) and as rigid transversely thereto.

  • Publication number: 20140366525
Abstract: An air gap-insulated exhaust manifold (10) for a supercharged internal combustion engine (1), preferably of a motor vehicle has an engine flange (11) fastening the exhaust manifold to an engine block (2) and a turbine flange (12) fastening the exhaust manifold to a turbine (8) of an exhaust gas turbocharger (7). Two inner pipes (13, 14) lead from an inlet opening, for exhaust gas, adjacent to the engine flange to an outlet opening (18), for exhaust gas, adjacent to the turbine flange. An outer pipe (15) envelopes the two inner pipes, forming an air gap insulation (21), and extends from the engine flange to the turbine flange. A separation partition (16) separates, in the interior space (22) of the outer pipe, two interior spaces (23, 24), in which one each of the two inner pipes is arranged. Reduced wear is achieved with the partition arranged loosely at the turbine flange.
