Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions and methods related to differentiation of stem cells into pancreatic endocrine cells. In some aspects, the methods provided herein relate to generation of pancreatic ? cell, ? cell, ? cells, and EC cells in vitro. In some aspects, the disclosure provides pharmaceutical compositions including the cells generated according to the methods disclosed herein, as well as methods of treatment making use thereof.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved lighting system with built-in intelligence and a controlling unit. The controlling unit is provided with a sensor such as occupancy sensors or photo sensors as an intelligent system. The system allows the LED lamp to dim itself in response to autonomous or external stimuli. The apparatus also includes light emitting diode array and a power harvesting means for harvesting power from the LED lamp.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved lighting system, for an LED lamp, with built-in intelligence and a controlling unit. The controlling unit comprises one or more field effect transistors and a microcontroller. The microcontroller creates a pulse width modulated signal at a frequency of approximately 120 Hz-50 kHz to field effect transistors. Further, the field effect transistors are connected in series with the LED lamp so that the microcontroller modulates a switching power converter, in addition to modulating a parallel field effect transistor.

Abstract: A method and computing system for establishing a text-based communication session between a first user and one or more other users of a social network. A private ID is identified for a specific user chosen from the one or more other users. One or more remote contact databases are queried to associate the private ID with one or more telephone numbers for the specific user. An SMS communication session is enabled between the first user and the specific user based, at least in part, upon the one or more telephone numbers.

Abstract: An edge lit LED tube that can control light compatible with different ballast such as instant start, rapid start and programmed start is provided. The edge lit LED tube can tune the output light angle by controlling the etching of the acrylic light guide. An edge lit LED tube that has no minimum LED count and can be driven from a single LED is further provided.
