  • Patent number: 7601022
Abstract: The invention discloses a computer connector or adapter housing structure with a raised portion. When plastic is molded around the housing, the raised portion is left exposed. This exposed portion of the housing provides a place to incorporate designs, such as business logos, words or numbers, or a gripping surface.

  • Patent number: 7090538
Abstract: An electrical adapter includes a housing, and first and second connectors. The housing includes a first housing part, and a second housing part that is transverse to the first housing part, that extends from the first housing part, and that has a size different from that of the first housing part. The first housing part and the second housing part cooperatively define a recess therebetween. The first connector is mounted on the first housing part. The second connector is mounted on the second housing part, is coupled to the first connector, and has a midpoint that lies in different horizontal plane from that of the first connector.

  • Patent number: 5430618
Abstract: An adaptor includes an adaptor casing, a circuit board and a cover piece. The adaptor casing includes lower and upper casing halves which are made of plastic and which are coated entirely with a layer of conductive material. A circuit board is disposed in the adaptor casing and has a top surface provided with a switch unit that is aligned with an opening formed in the upper casing half and that extends out of the adaptor casing via the opening, a first edge provided with a first connector, and an opposite second edge provided with a second connector. Each of the first and second connectors has a support plate which closes a respective one of front and rear open ends of the adaptor casing. The support plates and the adaptor casing cooperatively form an enclosure for confining the circuit board therein. The cover piece is made of plastic and is coated entirely with a layer of conductive material. The cover piece is fitted detachably in the opening of the upper casing half.

  • Patent number: 5389012
Abstract: A coaxial conductor has a coax connector which includes a tubular outer conductor, an insulator unit and an elongated inner conductor. The tubular outer conductor has a rear end portion, a front end portion and an intermediate portion which is disposed between the rear and front end portions and which confines a through-hole that communicates the rear and front end portions. The rear end portion has a teethed inner wall surface. The through-hole has a diameter smaller than inner diameters of the rear and front end portions, and a diverging end section adjacent to the rear end portion. The insulator unit is disposed fittingly in the front end portion of the tubular outer conductor. The inner conductor has a portion that extends through the insulator unit and into the intermediate portion of the tubular outer conductor, and is retained in an axial direction of the tubular outer conductor by the insulator unit.

  • Patent number: 5321207
Abstract: A coaxial conductor includes a BNC coax connector, a coaxial cable and a sleeve. The coaxial cable has a center conductor, a braided outer conductor, a dielectric which separates the center conductor from the braided outer conductor and an insulating jacket which is provided around the braided outer conductor. One end of the insulating jacket is stripped so as to expose a portion of the braided outer conductor. The exposed portion of the braided outer conductor is pulled over the insulating jacket so as to expose a portion of the dielectric. The exposed portion of the dielectric is stripped so as to expose a portion of the center conductor which is extended into a tubular inner conductive portion of the coax connector so as to connect electrically therewith. The sleeve has a front end with a wide tubular part which engages a tubular outer conductive portion of the coax connector and a rear end with a narrow tubular part.

  • Patent number: 5268963
Abstract: A fake-proof card encoding system comprises an encoding read/write device utilizing components that allow for the recording of data to an EEPROM memory device. A photographic-type image is acquired, digitized and compressed for storage in the memory. The data comprises a data table containing randomly distributed unique serialized information. This information may be the serial number of the encoding read/write terminal, or the issue number of the particular identification information created by the encoding terminal. Advantageously, the system uses color cell compression for the acquisition, digitization and compression of the photographic-type image, which may be a facial representation, fingerprint, signature, voice print, eye retina or any other unique personal identification in a compressed form which may later be machine read to verify the positive identification of the presenter.

Abstract: A fake-proof card verification system allows for the reading of data from an EEPROM memory device. A photographic-type image is stored in the memory device. The data comprises a data table containing randomly distributed unique serialized information. This information may be the serial number of the encoding read/write terminal, or the issue number of the particular identification information created by the encoding terminal. Desired verification data is downloaded from a central processing system. Advantageously, the system uses color cell compression for the acquisition, digitization and compression of the photographic-type image, which may be a facial representation, fingerprint, signature, voice print, eye retina or any other unique personal identification in a compressed form which may read by the decoding system to verify the positive identification of the presenter.
