  • Patent number: 7160153
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a connecting unit having a conductive terminal disposed in a sleeve end portion of a dielectric seat, and a metal shielding sleeve disposed around and covering the sleeve end portion of the dielectric seat. A metal shielding housing has an opening for access into an accommodating space thereof and permitting extension of a coupling end portion of the dielectric seat into the accommodating space via the opening for connection with the coupling end portion of the dielectric seat. The metal shielding sleeve projects from an intermediate metal sleeve connected electrically to both the metal shielding sleeve and the metal shielding housing.

  • Patent number: 7134899
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a first electrical connector having conductive contacts disposed in a receiving space in an insertion end portion of a first housing. A second electrical connector includes a terminal-mounting seat disposed in a hollow second housing and mounted with conductive terminals. When the insertion end portion of the first housing is inserted into the second housing, the terminal-mounting seat is received fittingly in the receiving space in the insertion end portion of the first housing, and the conductive terminals contact electrically and respectively the conductive contacts. A fastening unit prevents relative movement between the first and second housings so as to maintain electrical contact between the conductive contacts and the conductive terminals.

  • Patent number: 6948969
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes an electric cable, and an electrical connector member for signal transmission. The connector member terminates an end portion of the electric cable. A cable guiding member is mounted on the end portion of the electric cable, and is formed with a first through hole having a first hole axis, a second through hole having a second hole axis, and a cable passage communicated with the first and second through holes. The second hole axis forms an angle with the first hole axis. The end portion of the electric cable extends into the cable passage via the first through hole and outwardly of the cable passage via the second through hole.

  • Patent number: 6929501
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes first and second electrical connectors that are interconnected electrically by engagement of pins and pins holes. The first electrical connector further includes two sleeve units sleeved fittingly and respectively on two positioning members of the second electrical connector to prevent relative movement between the first and second electrical connectors in a transverse direction of the contact pins.

  • Patent number: 6860751
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a first electrical connector having a fastening device with two fastening members, each of which has at least two first rib portions, and two biasing members, and a second electrical connector having two limiting members, each of which has at least one second rib portion. When the first and second electrical connectors are interconnected, each biasing member biases a respective one of the fastening members to press one of the first rib portions of the corresponding fastening member against the second rib portion of the corresponding limiting member, thereby arresting movement of the fastening members toward and away from the limiting members.

  • Patent number: 6776665
Abstract: A connector unit of an electrical connector includes a terminal set mounted on a terminal holding member. The terminal set has a front mating portion and a rear coupling portion that projects rearwardly relative to a rear end face of the terminal holding member. A tubular unitary metal protective sleeve has a sleeve wall with a front end portion that defines a receiving space for receiving the terminal holding member of the connector unit therein. A transparent insulating jacket encloses fittingly the metal protective sleeve. An interlocking unit includes a hole set formed in one of the sleeve wall and the transparent insulating jacket, and a plug set formed on the other of the sleeve wall and the transparent insulating jacket to interconnect securely the metal protective sleeve and the transparent insulating jacket.

  • Patent number: 6287148
Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulator body with a terminal pin unit, a metal housing, and a metal protective shield. The electrical connector is mounted on an electrical cable that transmits signals between electrical equipment by a process, which includes the steps of: (1) passing the cable through the shield to connect electrically with the terminal pin unit on the insulator body; (2) placing the insulator body into the shield in such a manner that the terminal pin unit is exposed partially to exterior of the shield; (3) fastening the housing onto the shield so as to clamp the insulator body between the housing and the shield; and (4) pressing inwardly and sleeving tightly a portion of the shield on the cable.
