  • Patent number: 5695270
Abstract: A chemiluminscent coaster includes a coaster combined with a luminous filler or light source, structured as a shell containing reagents for inducing chemiluminescence. At least one surface of the coaster is light transmissive, being wholly or partially transparent or translucent. A single-use chemiluminescent coaster may use light sources in which the reaction takes place extemporaneously at the time of use, or may include light sources wherein pre-mixed reagents are kept at -40.degree. C. in order to prevent any chemiluminescent reaction. Reusable chemiluminscent coasters preferably use extemporaneously chemiluminescent sources. The coaster is structured to permit expansion due to gaseous discharge during the chemiluminescent reaction. A surface thereof may include an opening to permit dilation of the shell, or may be made at least partially of a supple, expandable, material.

  • Patent number: 5671998
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of chemiluminescent light for the illumination of liquids contained in transparent or translucent containers. The methods used are the use of reactants already mixed but preserved under very cold conditions, below -40.degree. C., to freeze the chemiluminescence reaction and the use of chemiluminescent compounds reactivating extemporaneously at the desired moment. The two systems of use of this process are to carry it out either in the liquid to be illuminated or outside the latter.

  • Patent number: 4523599
Abstract: A toothbrush and holder comprising a rigid elongate member and an attachment member for releasable attachment together. The elongate member has a brush portion and a handle portion, said brush portion having bristles which extend perpendicularly from the brush portion, said bristles having rounded ends for confronting brushing against the teeth of a user, and said handle portion having an insert for cooperative attachment to a corresponding first portion on the attachment member. The attachment member has a second portion which is parallel to said first attachment portion and which is separated a distance from said attachment portion which is greater than the length of the bristles such that when the elongate member is attached to the attachment member the bristles confront but do not touch the plane of the second portion of the attachment member.
