  • Patent number: 6045402
Abstract: A high-frequency coaxial right-angle connector element has coaxial connecting lines disposed in a housing. The housing is formed from metallized plastic and is provided with many contact bases peripherally on its underside. The contact bases serve to fasten the housing onto or on a board and to connect the coaxial connecting lines with associated terminals on the board. The coaxial connecting lines are inserted into straight tubular leadthroughs in the housing, formed in a plane parallel to the underside of the housing. The leadthroughs have groovelike recesses on the rear of the housing, in which the rear end pieces of the internal conductors extend downwardly out of the housing.

  • Patent number: 6019627
Abstract: A plug connector having a two-part housing formed of a lower part and a cover. The cover is used as a pressure clamping plate during connection of the two housing parts by screws and presses insulated individual conductors of a connecting cable, which have previously been inserted into guides disposed in the lower part of the housing into insulation displacement connection (IDC) contacts. The IDC contacts that are fixed in the lower part between the guides, and firmly clamps the connecting cable in a cable entry of the housing.

  • Patent number: 5988511
Abstract: Stackable and portable data carriers, with non-volatile semiconductor memories have contact faces on their surfaces. When such data carriers are stacked on top of one another they electrically contact the respectively adjacent data carriers and a bus system at the same time. The contour of the data carriers is embodied such that, when neighboring data carriers of the same kind rest on one another, the data carrier are interlaced in a form and force lock to a mechanically fixed, but detachable composite unit. At the same time, the respectively adjacent data carriers of the composite unit come into resilient contact with one another via their respective contact faces.

  • Patent number: 5894411
Abstract: A stackable data carrier arrangement including a cardshaped carrier element, at least one integrated semiconductor circuit arranged on the carrier element, at least one external terminal arranged on the carrier element and connected to the semiconductor circuit for making electrical contact therewith, the external terminal being formed so as to circumscribe an edge area of the carrier element and having a respective terminal area on the edge area and adjoining opposite main areas of the carrier element, the terminal areas being electrically connected to one another, includes means defining two slots provided in the carrier element, the slots extending parallel to one another from the edge area into the carrier element to approximately the same extent as the external terminal arranged between the slots, so that a contact tooth bendable perpendicularly to the main areas of the carrier element is formed by the region of the carrier element situated between the slots.

  • Patent number: 5882210
Abstract: The cuboid housing of the printed circuit board coupler is made from conducting material and it can be soldered directly to the printed circuit board. An inner conductor connection member is inserted into and insulated from the housing. The insulation is provided by a plastics part which is partially extrusion-coated on the inner conductor connection member at a region where connecting elements angle off from a plug-in element. The printed circuit board coupler can thus be soldered with the housing itself and with bends of the inner conductor connection member in a horizontal or vertical position on the printed circuit board by surface mounting.

  • Patent number: 5865645
Abstract: A press-fit plug connector for press-fitting into holes in a printed circuit board, includes contacts which are each fastened at one end in a parallelepipedal plastic body and laterally guided in a molded part in slot-like recesses that are open toward the printed circuit board. The contacts have a free end with a press-fit section which is bent away toward the printed circuit board and two press-fit shoulders. The molded part is constructed with press-fit areas. A plug-in surface of the plug connector is constructed with a shielding plate having parts which are perpendicular to the printed circuit board and define a front plane of the plug connector. The molded part is of approximately U-shaped construction and free ends of U legs together with the plastic body disposed therebetween, abut against the front plane.

  • Patent number: 5470261
Abstract: A press-in spring contact connector and method of pressing the same are provided. A plurality of contact springs are clamped between inner and outer insulator members. Each contact spring has a fastening section disposed parallel to, but offset from, a press-in part. Each contact spring has a recess which is engaged by a respective nose extending from the inner insulator member, the nose extending generally perpendicularly to the fastening section. The connector can be installed using a flat die that presses against a top surface of the outer insulator member without using a traditional press-in pressure member having pressure pins. The press-in loads are transmitted through the inner insulator member, the nose members and the recesses engaged therewith, and ultimately, to the press-in parts.
