    Abstract: A device for applying haemostatic clips for closing a duct having a flexible wall located between two legs of one haemostatic clip. This device, of a type exhibiting the shape of forceps, comprises two pivotally interconnected arms operating two jaws between which the clip is interposed. One of these jaws comprises two jaw elements arranged to be successively applied onto the other of these jaws, a first jaw element arranged to form the haemostatic clip into a loop with the ends thereof in overlapping relationship, and a second jaw element for flattening the thus-formed loop until the flexible duct is fully obturated.
