    Abstract: In order to absorb ions and corrosive products which accumulate in a hydraulic circuit during its operation, particularly a hydraulic circuit in an aircraft which operates to control the operation of the aircraft, a solid material is disposed within the liquid which circulates through the circuit which is capable of chemically fixing these ions or products at its surface. The solid material may comprise a corrodible grade of iron and it may be in the form of a type of sieve.
