    Abstract: A rpm measuring apparatus includes a rpm signal generator having a magnetic circuit composed of a toothed disc, driven by a drive shaft, and a yoke carrying an induction coil. At least one portion of the yoke opposite the toothed disc is also provided with teeth. At least one damper having a rpm-dependent damping characteristic is operatively associated with the drive shaft and disposed on the toothed disc.
