  • Patent number: 5308234
Abstract: A gripping device for two part molds wherein each mold half is equipped with a centering ring that has outwardly projecting radial wedges, said gripping device including a gripping plate having a center bore which is adapted to fit over and around said centering ring and its outwardly projecting radial wedges, and a flat U-shaped recess extending inwardly from one side of said gripping plate and surrounding said center bore, and a gripping ring which is adapted to fit into said flat U-shaped recess, said gripping ring having inwardly projecting counter wedges which are sized and spaced apart so that they can engage the spaces between said outwardly projecting radial wedges of a centering ring in the manner of self-locking bayonet fixing means, and handle means to rotate said gripping ring while in said recess through at least a limited art with respect to the axis of said center bore.

  • Patent number: 5273148
Abstract: A suspension system is presented for a distribution chute of a device for uniformly spreading powdery materials over a circular surface. The distribution chute is suspended in a pivoting manner from a cage in such a way that the angle of tilt of the chute in relation to the vertical axis is adjustable. This cage is suspended from a peripheral annular ring having a vertical axis. The ring is vertically supported and laterally guided by wheels circumferentially spaced apart by an angle of 120.degree.. These wheels are mounted via bearings on a frame supporting the cage. An endless chain engages in a peripheral annular sprocket integrally connected to the cage in order to transmit to the latter a rotary motion about its vertical axis. A variant embodiment is presented with six smooth wheels, three of which have horizontal axes and three of which have vertical axes.

  • Patent number: 5146796
Abstract: The probe comprises a probe arm provided with a series of orifices for simultaneously taking gas samples and measuring the heat at different locations of the charging surface and penetrating through an opening in the furnace. This opening is surrounded by a support hoop integrally connected to the wall of the furnace and provided with two diametrically opposite outer journals on which are articulated two parallel arms supporting between them the probe arm. This arm can move about the center of the said hoop under the action of at least one actuator mounted between the said hoop and the outer end of the probe arm, the arm comprising a circular sliding surface moving, sealingly, over the inner surface of the said hoop.

  • Patent number: 5108192
Abstract: The probe comprises a support in the form of a sheath, a series of internal pipes, retained by spacers and connecting orifices distributed along the sheath to a device for measuring and for receiving the gas samples outside the furnace, and thermocouples arranged at the level of the said orifices. In order to enable the pipes to be replaced without disassembly of the probe, the said orifices are situated in steps provided in the sheath, while the internal pipes, for taking gas samples and heat measurements are all individual, straight and exchangeable elements housed in straight support and protection channels, each traversing the sheath from the outside as far as the respective step.

  • Patent number: 4702182
Abstract: A pneumatic mixture which has a relatively high content of pulverulent materials in the propulsion air is formed in a single metering means. This mixture is propelled through a common primary pipe to a distribution head in which the mixture is divided into secondary currents which are delivered respectively to each of the injection points. A supercritical speed is imparted to the mixture in the distribution head.
