  • Publication number: 20240119333
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a qubit device and to methods of operating a qubit device. In one arrangement, a quantum well structure hosts a hole gas in a quantum well. Electrodes form a plurality of quantum dots in the hole gas and allow encoding of a unit of quantum information in hole spins in the quantum dots. X-rotations on the Bloch sphere can be implemented using a g-factor difference between hole spins and a low applied magnetic field. Z-rotations can be implemented using the exchange interaction.

  • Patent number: 9483255
Abstract: Solutions are described that enable a user equipment (UE) for a communication system to modify resource files, e.g., audio files, picture files, video clips, etc., used by Java applications without requiring downloading of entire applications. Error reports are sent to application providers that relate to specific resource files based on modified application descriptor files.

  • Patent number: 8983190
Abstract: Dynamically configuring OCR processing may include determining a device type and determining whether to perform optical character recognition (OCR) processing of the received image locally based on one or more OCR parameters. Example OCR parameters may include the device type, the image type, the size of the received image, the available amount of the memory, the measured/benchmarked throughput of OCR processing on the device relative to an OCR server throughput and network throughput, and/or the current level of network connectivity. If it is determined that OCR processing of the received image should be performed locally, the device may compute one or more name-value pairs corresponding to the received image and transmit the name-value pairs to a remote data server for processing.

Date of Patent: March 17, 2015
    Assignee: Bank of America Corporation

  • Publication number: 20130193484
Abstract: A device including at least one transistor on a substrate in a first semiconductor material, each transistor including a gate electrode as a gate, two conductor electrodes, an island in a second semiconductor material inlaid in the substrate, defining a region capable of forming a channel as a channel region, and an insulating layer separating the gate from the two electrodes and the channel region. The channel region is inside the island and is in direct electrical contact with at least one of the two conductor electrodes.
