  • Patent number: 7344115
Abstract: A Specialized Outlet Box Mounting Bracket is disclosed. The bracket provides a convenient mounting platform for a 3½ inch deep outlet box within a conventional stud wall. The bracket eliminates the requirement for special, labor-intensive installation methods by installing easily between a pair of structural studs at standard spacing. The bracket further provides two installation options—one for a single-sheet drywall wall construction, and an additional one for a double-sheet drywall wall construction. The bracket's outlet box reservoirs are configured to provide rigid backing support for the deep outlet boxes with the bracket being stamped out of a single piece of flat metal stock, and therefore being extremely material-efficient.

  • Patent number: 7312407
Abstract: A Non-metallic Elbow Conduit Transition Fitting is disclosed. The fitting is specifically suited to interconnect vertical electrical conduit runs and horizontal electrical conduit runs in commercial construction environments. The fitting is suitable for immersion within poured concrete floors used in commercial building construction. The fitting is designed to threadedly engage a vertical run of EMT (metallic) conduit with a horizontal run of nonmetallic (e.g. PVC) conduit. A final aspect of the fitting is that it must have a short sweep angle bend so that it is adequately buried within a concrete floor made from 6 inches of concrete.

  • Patent number: 7228776
Abstract: A Punch Assembly and the method of use thereof is disclosed. Also disclosed is. The device is designed to be accepted within the chuck of a powder-actuated tool. The device can create a hole in steel decking when the device is shot into the decking by a powder-actuated tool. The device is defined by a mandrel and a detachable punch attached to it. The outer diameter of the mandrel is greater than the outer diameter of the punch so that when the mandrel prevents the device from passing through the hole created by the punch. The punch has a generally cylindrical shape and a cutting edge forming a pair of tips on opposing sides of the cylinder in order to improve the quality of the hole formed in the decking.
