Abstract: A gaming machine is provided having a cabinet (and optionally an internal locked box) enclosing one or more heat generating components such that the heat generating components are enclosed within an air-tight gas-filled volume having a convective loop configuration. A clean thermal transfer gas is circulated about the loop so as to flow past and absorb heat energy from the heat generating components and then continue in sealed fashion through at least one flow-through path of a multi-flow heat exchanger having a plurality of flow-through paths in heat exchange coupling with one another. At least one of the other flow-through paths of the heat exchanger has ambient air flowing by or in it so as to remove heat energy from the clean thermal transfer gas. The gaming machine further includes a plurality of computer-controlled blowers operatively coupled to the heat exchanging flow-through paths.

Abstract: A gaming machine is provided having a cabinet with a high definition frontal mechanism for presenting gaming action of that machine and with at least one of left, right, front and rear cabinet sidewall displays (CSDs) for presenting imagery that can enhance the optical experience of patrons in the vicinity of the gaming machine. Each of the cabinet sidewall displays is configured to be non-reflective (glare free) and when not outputting imagery, to appear as blackened or otherwise darkened surface so as to not detract from effects of nearby other displays. One version includes a CSD driven in response to a selected subarea of the high definition frontal display mechanism.

The plurality of gaming machines each includes at least one display device, an audio device, a gaming controller configured to execute machine readable instructions to present one or more games at the gaming machine, and a non-gaming controller configured to execute machine readable instruction to modify one or more non-gaming attributes of the gaming machine. A server is communicatively connected through a network to the plurality of gaming machines. The server is configured to send machine readable instructions through the network to the non-gaming controller to select one or more of the plurality of gaming machines and cause the selected one or more the plurality of gaming machines to modify one or more non-gaming attributes of the gaming machine.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for providing persistent aerial vehicle surveillance capabilities, including launch and recovery platforms, secured communication, sensor systems, targeting systems, locating systems, and precision landing and stabilization systems for such uses as assisting with base defenses, monitoring parking lots or facilities, providing security monitoring, assisting farmers, performing recon of enemy beaches or use by mortar teams in hostile fields of operations. One embodiment can include an aerial surveillance system using an aerial short wave infrared surveillance system platform for use when quick response in reaction to real-time conditions is preferred while relaying the geo-location and other monitoring assistance via a wireless, fiber optic type link, or an ADHOC GPS system.

An example method may involve receiving a search query comprising a descriptor for an object that is associated with a given category of objects. The method may involve comparing the descriptor to contents of a three-dimensional (3D) object-data-model database that includes contents associated with the given category of objects. Based on the comparison, the method may involve generating a search query result that comprises 3D object data models that describe the object and associated images that describe the object. The method may also involve arranging the 3D object data models and associated images in the search query result in a manner such that the 3D object data models are moveable inline in the search query result, and providing the search query result.

The moisture barrier membrane can suppress water vapor emission from a flooring substrate (such as a concrete floor) up to about 99% relative humidity. The moisture barrier membrane may include a top layer (e.g., a polyester layer), a rubberized copolymer bottom layer, and an optionally removable liner (e.g., polyethylene or nylon film). Methods of installing the moisture barrier membrane are provided.

Abstract: Methods and systems for determining the shape of an object based on shadows cast by the object are described. An example method may include receiving a plurality of images of an object casting a shadow. Each image may include a shadow cast by the object as the object is illuminated by a light source that moves over a plurality of positions. The method may further include determining, by a computing device, respectively for each image of the plurality of images a two-dimensional (2D) silhouette of the object and a respective position of the light source relative to the object. According to the method, a three-dimensional (3D) object data model of the object may be generated by the computing device based on the 2D silhouette of the object and the respective position of the light source relative to the object for each image of the plurality of images.

Abstract: A system, method, and program product is provided that selects an instant messaging message that includes one or more words in a text area. The instant message is a communication with an instant messaging participant that corresponds to an instant messaging participant identifier. A count is kept of the words that match keywords that are associated with a selected instant messaging group data store that is stored in a nonvolatile data area. If the count exceeds a particular threshold, the instant messaging participant identifier is added to the selected instant messaging group.
