  • Publication number: 20090184187
Abstract: A centrifugal impact crusher, having a housing, a rotor having a shaft journaled to the housing and a plurality of spaced apart slots in each side of the shaft, a plurality of hammers or cutters pivotally attached to one side of each slot by pins with the pins lying along two axes running parallel to the shaft, each of said hammers pivotal from a position proximate said shaft to a position in which it extends outwardly away from the shaft. A slotted table is located on another side of the rotor having spaced apart arms, the slots allowing the hammers to pass through without hitting the arms and an exit for allowing crushed material to escape from the housing.

  • Publication number: 20070179894
Abstract: A leveraged procurement network (LPN) system for leveraging purchasing across company and company groups includes a front-end requisition and catalog system accessible by users from a plurality of companies in different company groups. Access to procurement resources is controlled by user profiles and resource profiles specifying for each user and resource the applicable company group. Purchases against volume specific contracts are leveraged by requisitions for a plurality of company groups, while user access to procurement resources within the front-end system are controlled by company and/or company group.

  • Publication number: 20060156656
Abstract: An aggregrate log used with other such logs to form a wall of a house, or building, or a retaining wall, having a plurality of first openings oriented vertically when in situ in the wall, a plurality of second openings aligned along a horizontal axis and forming a conduit channel open from one end of the log to another and alignment means for aligning the log with an underlying log when in situ in said wall.

  • Publication number: 20060151762
Abstract: A cable and rod gripping apparatus which includes a base, a pair of linkages pivotally mounted on said base and a gripping pad pivotally mounted on a distal end of each of said linkages in opposition to each other so that upon pivoting together the pads contact the cable or the rod above a position of alignment of the linkages and move together until gripping said cable or rod while still above the position of alignment.

  • Patent number: 6963926
Abstract: A routing algorithm has particular advantage in sparsely connected networks in which nodes have a ranked set of alternative routes to a destination node, these routes being node-disjoint. Setup messages have an additional information element for the identity of a virtual source node, and a source node inserts its own identity in the virtual source information element. Unless a node is the destination for a message, it examines the content of the virtual source information element of a message, and if there is no match with its own identity it selects from its routing table a predetermined alternative route for the destination node. If that route is unavailable, the node replaces the content of the virtual source information element with its own identity, performs routing on the basis that there is now a match with its own identity, i.e. it behaves as if it had generated the message.

  • Publication number: 20050086323
Abstract: Under the present invention, milestones or points of closure are provided at predetermined locations within a workflow of an application. Typically, the milestones are provided at completion points of tasks in the workflow. To this extent, as the user proceeds through the workflow, he/she is associated with the milestones corresponding thereto. The associations are stored (optionally with any corresponding data) in a persistent storage. In the event of a failure, the milestone associations are used to transport the user back to the last milestone with which he/she was associated.

  • Publication number: 20030177263
Abstract: A routing algorithm having particular advantage in sparsely connected networks in which nodes have a primary and a secondary route to a destination node, these routes being node-disjoint. Setup messages have an additional information element for the identity of a virtual source node, and a source node inserts its own identity in the virtual source information element. Unless a node is the destination for a message, it examines the content of the virtual source information element of a message, and if there is no match with its own identity it selects a route pointer from a part of its routing table in the form of a matrix of pointer bits, and uses that pointer to select one of the primary and secondary routes for the destination node. If that route is unavailable, the node replaces the content of the virtual source information element with its own identity, inverts the pointer bit to select the other route.

  • Patent number: 6374202
Abstract: A network's components are represented in the form of data signals arranged into a hierarchical tree structure. A population comprising a large number of randomly created tree structures, each relating to an individual network, is generated. The tree structures undergo a process of evolution through successive generations, by selectively breeding the most successful tree structures. Through the process of breeding, one or a plurality of optimal tree structures emerges. A network is constructed in accordance with the data signals represented by the optimal tree structure. The network may be any network comprising a set of nodes and links, e.g. a gas pipeline network, an electricity supply network, a water pipeline network or the like, but the disclosure is particularly relevant to a telecommunications network or a computer network.

  • Patent number: 5970672
Abstract: A building system and/or an erected building is based on a kit of parts including portable, prefabricated wall sections of a width of 4 feet and a height dependent on the room height desired. The sections include a metal frame having parallel members to be vertical in the erected building. These members are provided with a thermal break along their length. The thermal break may also serve as a water resistant connector between sections. Sections are aligned with abutting side edges to form walls of the building. Parallel abutting vertical members of adjacent sections form composite load bearing members for roof trusses which may be spaced apart by the width of a wall section. A hinged template for interior partitions may be provided which can be folded for transport. Ceiling panels may be connected to roof trusses through an adjustable linkage so that compensation for movement of the roof trusses is possible.
