    Abstract: The projectile and propellant portions of two-piece cartridge are separately fed to a gun. In one embodiment, the gun is of the type having a cylinder defining a plurality of chambers and a single barrel. The cylinder rotates through a number of positions during each revolution during which the projectile and propellant portions of a cartridge are separately loaded into each chamber, the cartridge is fired and the chamber is cleared.
